Dissecting the numbers for Super Bowl 50, the Broncos’ victory for the game served up an estimated average of 111.9 million viewers to CBS, according to Nielsen Fast Nationals, with a record amount of audiences also streaming the event. That number is off pace from last year’s mark, although CBS did claim the record for most-watched single broadcast in television history on an “all-or-part basis” with 167 million viewers (not counting online and streaming audiences) tuning in for at least part of the matchup.
Streaming coverage of Super Bowl 50 on CBS and NFL digital properties set viewership records in every category, delivering 3.96 million unique viewers across laptops, desktops, tablets, connected TV devices and mobile phones.
