Joining Banks – who left her co-host spot on syndicated FABLife in November – will be former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, actress Jessica Alba, entertainment attorney Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger and business magnate/philanthropist Warren Buffett.
In other Celebrity Apprentice news, the show’s upcoming Season 8 cast has been announced. Crew includes Laila Ali, Brooke Burke-Charvet, Boy George, American Ninja Warrior host Matt Iseman, VH1 personality Carrie Keagan, Carson Kressley, former WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie, Jon Lovitz, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil, Jersey Shore‘s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Real Housewives Kyle Richards and Porsha Williams, mixed martial artist Chael Sonnen, retired NFL running backs Ricky Williams and Eric Dickerson, and Carnie Wilson. Entertainment Studios Network CEO Byron Allen is heading back to court. On Wednesday, Allen filed a lawsuit against Charter Communications for allegedly engaging in racial discrimination in contracting against 100 percent African American-owned media, and against the Federal Communications Commission for approving mega-media mergers, such as Comcast/NBCUniversal, that allegedly discriminate against African American-owned media. “President Obama and the Democratic Party have completely excluded the African-American community when it comes to economic inclusion,” said Allen. “Everyone talks about diversity, but diversity in Hollywood and the media starts with ownership. African Americans don’t need handouts and donations; we can hire ourselves if white corporate America does business with us in a fair and equitable way.” In December, Entertainment Studios reached a settlement in a discrimination lawsuit against AT&T with distribution for its seven cable channels across DirecTV and U-verse.
