Erik Barmack will also serve as an executive producer. The pilot begins filming this summer.

Also landing a pilot order, in this case from Fox, is dating competition “Masquerade Ball,” from ZnakTV and Fox Alternative Entertainment. In the show, singles try to make an impression during just a few minutes on the dance floor.

CTV viewability reached 93.3% globally, while mobile app video followed closely at 92.6%. Mobile web video viewability followed at 73.7%. IAS data also indicated that adult content was the primary driver of increased brand risk across all formats globally, generally followed by hate speech. Interactive CTV ad formats incorporate advanced features and functionality to boost creative performance. The consortium was created to organize buy-side and sell-side programmatic platforms, connecting the ad tech ecosystem and delivering against the promise of interactive CTV creative at scale. “The lack of standardization across CTV has historically forced advertisers to choose between the targetability and efficiency that programmatic buying offers, versus the ROI boosting engagement interactive CTV provides,” said Zvika Netter, CEO and co-founder at Innovid. “As the only omni-channel platform with the infrastructure required to support interactive creative on TV, we knew Innovid had to lead the way by connecting the largest independent CTV players in the market through a single, integrated marketplace.”

STREAMING

Free streaming ad-supported service Local News, featuring local news and premium content, is now available on most major platforms. “After more than three years in development and a significant investment in the platform, Local Now is extremely unique as it uses proprietary software and artificial intelligence to produce, aggregate, curate, and stream – in real time – local news, weather, sports, traffic, movies, TV shows, documentaries, and channels geo-fenced to the user’s zip code,” said Byron Allen, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Local Now parent company Allen Media Group. “We are well-positioned as the new global standard for free streaming.”

Cord-cutting has become a universal American phenomenon, but the type of content available on streaming services often fails to reflect the diversity of its audience, with a dearth of options available for Americans looking to access relevant content in a language that is not English, maintains Isabel Rafferty, CEO and founder of Canela Media. Rafferty offers insights about can be done to remedy that, in Cynsiders.
