Yesterday, Adobe announced a partnership between its video publishing and advertising system, Adobe Primetime, with Turner Broadcasting. Adobe will now power the revamped TNT and TBS apps and websites.
Bloomberg TV is joining digital billboard company BrandedCities Network to expand the distribution and production of its digital videos. Bloomberg Media will produce short news video clips on entertainment, technology and business for BCN billboards.
Twitter is leaning toward the New York Stock Exchange over Nasdaq for its anticipated IPO, according to Reuters.
In Other Words: Insiders say this may be because Nasdaq glitches didn’t exactly help Facebook’s IPO last year.
MyDamnChannel released ten episodes of its first original series for Blip.com, Daddy Knows Best. The show is produced by Blip, and can be viewed at both Blip.com and MyDamnChannel.com for an exclusive 30-day window starting Sept. 30, before it becomes available on additional platforms, like YouTube.
…Blip also premiered another new web series yesterday – Indie Across America – on Blip.com. The series will have a total of eight episodes, hosted by MTV video journalist Dave Holmes. A new episode will air weekly.
When Charlie Rose interviewed Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Meyer at iabMixx yesterday, Meyer said that Yahoo had suffered through what she called a “string of bad luck” before she arrive to overhaul the company. Although Yahoo’s original show Burning Love was recently nominated for an Emmy, Meyer commented that original content isn’t the publisher’s main focus for the future, thought it’s still important. Yahoo recently released a new weather app, Yahoo Screen, and updated the MyYahoo pages.
Apple’s iTunes will issue refunds to iTunes Season Pass holders of AMC’s Breaking Bad since the final season’s split inadvertently made customers pay twice to own season 5. The $23 iTunes credit should smooth over the snafu that resulted when AMC named the first half of its BB season Season 5 and the second half The Final Season.

Microsoft and Nielsen teamed up to find a solution to how brands can better pair TV and online campaigns. The two companies revealed their findings at Advertising Week yesterday. Most interesting?
- Use the 80/60 approach. This means that choosing index targeting vs. cookie targeting should depend on whether the brand’s target audience has a TV reach above, below, or between 60-80 percent.
- Take advantage of cross-platform exposure with both TV and online video to double down on campaign efforts. However, using online video campaigns before a TV spot is more effective.
Google’s Director of Product Management Brad Bender and VP of Americas Strategic Partnerships Bonita Stewart took to the stage at iabMixx to discuss ad technology trends for this quarter. The Google execs outlined six developments, including the “advercaster,” which is the merging of publishing, broadcasting and advertising into one campaign. Google also unveiled its own ad technology for its ad-suite software, which included a pre-built media rich ad template to simplify the programming of video ads for websites.
Live video streamer Ustream introduced a new advertising service for its customers on Tuesday. The LiveAd technology will help companies package video with standard ad displays, and can also include special features, such as a live Twitter feed that mentions the brand or promotion. Cisco, Sony and HBO have already started using LiveAd.
AOL’s Adap.tv launched a new toolset for advertisers and publishers to buy video, called Audience Everywhere. The new technology specifically focuses on video purchasing for mobile and television platforms. The mobile component went live yesterday; the television technology will launch at a later date.
In other words: Adap.TV intends to become the standard for television advertising, not just mobile and online video advertising.

Apple unveiled its updated and slimmer all-in-one computer and desktop iMac on Tuesday. The newest iMacs include faster Intel processors, better graphics and speedier WiFi capabilities. The desktop computer starts at $1300.

Entertainment marketing agency NuContext has hired Michael Rola as its new Executive Director of Integrated Marketing. Rola was previously Walt Disney Studio’s Director of Integrated Marketing and Synergy.
25/7 Media announced the hiring of Matt Haies as the company’s new VP General Counsel. He was previously the VP of Privacy Strategy at AppNexus.
Sony Pictures has said goodbye to Marc Weinstock, who was SP’s president of worldwide marketing. The move was made after the company had a disappointing summer at the box office.
Digital entertainment company Townsquare Media hired Andi Poch as Senior Vice President of its National Digital Media Sales Team. He was most recently IconicTV’s Chief Revenue Officer.
