Good morning. It’s Wednesday, November 14, 2012, and this is your first early morning briefing.
One Direction offered details about their big screen debut yesterday – if you near Rockefeller Center yesterday morning you might have heard the announcement live on NBC’s Today Show, or at the very least the screams that followed. If not – here they are – Sony Pictures is producing a behind the scenes 3D movie starring the pop band One Direction, which will be directed by noted documentarian Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, and Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope) and released by TriStar Pictures over Labor Day weekend, Friday, August 30, 2013. Spurlock, Ben Winston, Simon Cowell, and Adam Milano will produce the film. Executive Producers will be Richard Griffiths, Harry Magee, Will Bloomfield, Matthew Galkin, Jeremy Chilnick and Doug Merrifield. Updates about the movie will be announced under the official movie account using the hashtag #1D3Dmovie.
