Cynopsis: Kids!
11.29.12
Good morning. It’s Thursday, November 29, 2012, and this is your first early morning briefing.
Mythbusters kids – well sort of – as Discovery Communications launches a new national ad campaign portraying younger versions of Mythbusters co-hosts, Kari Byron, Grant Imahara and Tori Belleci, to promote its Discovery Kids (www.discoverykids.com) brand. Described as an aspirational campaign. Designed to promote the Discovery Kids consumer products line, the 16-month campaign focuses on kids as future leaders, and explorers, and features the three Mythbusters co-hosts in “home video style” TV commercials depicting how as kids they were “Discovery Kids.” The 30-second spots have begun airing nationwide and will continue through December 23, 2013 across Discovery Networks (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC) as well as various kid/family-aimed networks including Cartoon Network, Disney XD and Nickelodeon, and ABC Family. This Discovery Kids brand campaign plans also include a print component, which will roll out at retail through promotional partnerships.
