| Did you see this coming? Warner Bros. Discovery received a revised bid from Paramount Skydance – and the company’s board determined it could reasonably be considered a superior proposal to Netflix’s. The new Paramount offer includes a purchase price of $31/share in cash, up from $30, plus a daily ticking fee equal to $0.25 per quarter beginning after September 30. If the board does determine a superior proposal has been received, Netflix will have four days to propose revisions to its own agreement with WBD. “There can be no assurance that the Board will conclude that the transaction proposed by PSKY is superior to the merger with Netflix or that any definitive agreement or transaction will result from WBD’s discussions with PSKY,” said WBD. “The Netflix Merger Agreement remains in effect, and the Board continues to recommend in favor of the Netflix transaction and is not withdrawing or modifying its recommendation.”
Premium video outperforms YouTube for co-viewing, attention and viewing session length, according to a report from the VAB and TVision, “The Impression Gap.” Key findings include:
· Co-viewing is 33% is stronger on Premium Platforms than on YouTube.
· Premium Video drives greater consistent attention across content duration than YouTube, with YouTube ranking 14th in sustained time spent with eyes on screen.
· Premium Video Platforms are 18% more likely to convert viewing time into meaningful attentive minutes across CTV viewership.
· Premium Video Platforms have 49% longer viewing sessions than YouTube. |

In what it’s dubbed “Legendary February,” NBCUniversal delivered the strongest advertising revenue ever for Winter Games and the highest-ever total ad revenue for the Super Bowl. Some highlights:
· NBCU achieved the highest :30 second ad unit rate for Super Bowl ever, as well as the highest total ad revenue in Super Bowl history
· Triple the digital ad revenue for Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics over 2022 Beijing Olympics
· More than 250 unique advertisers participated across Super Bowl LX, the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, and NBA All-Star Weekend
· Advertisers would need to buy 118 ads in competitive TV to generate the same search as a spot in Legendary February

Netflix three-parter “Reality Check: America’s Next Top Model” topped the streamer’s top 10 list of US shows with 14.2 million viewers in its first week. The docuseries beat the season two premiere of “Love Is Blind: Ohio,” the season three debut of “The Night Agent,” and season four bow of “Bridgerton.”
Awwwwwww…Tim Daly and Tea Leoni, who got married in July, will co-star in NBC pilot “Newlyweds,” co-created by Gaile Lerner and Jamie Lee Curtis. Daly and Leoni met on the set of “Madame Secretary” (2014-19), where they played husband and wife.
MGM+ has renewed “Robin Hood” for a second season. No surprise there – the drama is one of MGM+’s top-performing original series ever.
Spectrum is making a bold move to pull customers away from major wireless competitors (AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) with a guaranteed $1,000 in first-year savings if they switch internet and at least two mobile lines. Should the savings fall short, Spectrum says it will issue credits.
Imagicomm Entertainment is launching its first FAST Channel in Spanish. Western Bound Español debuts today at 9a on PLEX, with content including originals from INSP like “Wild West Chronicles,” “Into the Wild Frontier,” and “Ultimate Cowboy Showdown.” |

Pinky Cole, the founder and CEO of the restaurant empire Slutty Vegan, and musical artist K. Michelle have joined the season 17 cast of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The reality show returns Sunday, April 5 at 8p.

AWS has launched Elemental Inference, a suite of AI-powered tools designed to streamline the process of transforming content into vertical formats optimized for mobile and social media. The platform leverages machine learning to automatically detect key moments, reframe footage, and prepare clips for quick distribution. Early adopters include Fox Sports, NBCUniversal, National Geographic, Peacock, and ViewLift. According to AWS, clips can be processed and made social media-ready in as little as six to eight seconds.
Clinch announced the launch of the Creative Template Catalog, a new feature within Flight Control’s AI-enabled Digital Asset Library. The Catalog is designed to provide advertisers with a library of customizable, dynamic ad templates organized by vertical and KPI, and built to support a range of channels, formats, and audiences. According to the company, the templates are structured around established best practices and intended to help standardize creative production across campaigns.
Ogury announced the availability of its persona-based advertising solution on CTV, enabling advertisers to activate the same personas consistently across screens as part of a multi-channel strategy that supports brand outcomes. Personas are built using Ogury’s multi-dimensional data model, which combines zero-party survey data with complementary signals, including contextual data and payment insights powered by Mastercard. These signals are anchored to publisher environments and geographic areas to identify where audiences with shared interests converge.
AdImpact has launched AdMo+, an expansion of its existing television intelligence platform that integrates AdImpact’s advertising spend data, rate data, and creative analysis into one platform. AdMo+ introduces a CTV ad alert system and zero share reporting across linear and CTV environments, enabling campaigns to identify competitive gaps in real time. |

The WNBA’s Portland Fire WNSL’s Portland Thorns announced a multi-year partnership establishing Gray Media’s KPDX as the regional broadcast home for the professional women’s sports teams. Additionally, the Portland Fire have partnered with Kiswe to launch a direct-to-consumer streaming platform.
Space City Home Network – home of Houston’s Astros and Rockets – and streaming technology provider ViewLift report strong early performance for SCHN+. Since launching in December, the direct-to-consumer service has recorded over a half a million streams across supported devices. |
