Comedian Bill Burr pulls no punches in Netflix special I’m Sorry You Feel That Way, premiering Friday, December 5. “If you have strong religious beliefs, politically correct opinions, or are easily offended by crude language and sexual innuendo, consider yourself warned,” cautions the trailer.
 
ABC
continues to embrace the digital space, with a new ABC.com talk show about General Hospital called GH Now. The soap’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) and a panel of celebrity fans chat all things GH with comedy sketches, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. The show will premiere in January.
 

 
CONTENT MEDIA
 

Comedy Central is looking to get a piece of that PewDiePie pie…by featuring a cameo from Swedish vlogger megastar (32 million subscribers) Felix Kjellberg in a South Park episode. The episode involving Kjellberg, called #Rehash, was announced on his channel yesterday and will premiere tonight on CC at 10p ET. The ep will then be available to stream for free on Hulu and the South Park Studios site. Until it airs, mum’s the word: “I don’t know exactly what it’s going to be, but I’m so f­ing excited for it,” Kjellberg said.
 
Starz
kicked off #OutlanderOfferings campaigns to tease the second half of Outlander season one, set to return on April 4 at 9p ET. The 25 Days of #OutlanderOfferings will lead up to the show’s first eight-episode marathon airing on Christmas Day. Each day on Twitter and select days on Facebook, Starz will release exclusive content, fresh footage, holiday recipes, cast interviews and Outlander Store Discounts.
 
International TV and movie streaming service DramaFever announced that the third annual DramaFever Awards will take place at the Hudson Theatre in New York City on Feb. 5. Winners are decided through fans’ votes online, which will remain open until mid-December. Leading the nominees with six is It’s Okay, That’s Love, followed by Tomorrow’s Cantabile with four nominations and My Loveable Girl, Fated to Love You and Emergency Couple, each with three. These and other programs from around the world will compete in 13 categories including: Best Actor and Actress, Best Kiss and Best Couple, as well as new categories Best Korean Drama, Best Japanese Drama, Best Chinese Language Drama, Best Movie, Rising Star, Fan Favorite and Boldest Moment in Drama presented by Toyota.

AOL acquired cross-screen video exchange Vidible to expand its video management tools, increase inventory, provide a self-serve platform for publishers and content owners and add more video content into AOL’s current exchanges. “AOL is focused on transforming the digital media environment by creating an open marketplace for video,” President of AOL Video and Studios Dermot McCormack said.
 
MediaMath released a new TerminalOne (T1) app, which provides access to the Nielsen’s Online Campaign Ratings data. “By enabling this access, we’re not only simplifying campaign measurement, but also ensuring greater consistency in how marketers measure, evaluate, and optimize marketing performance,” MediaMath Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of OPEN Partnerships Greg Williams said.

Native advertising spend is expected to hit 3.2 billion by the end of 2014, and will increase 34.4 percent to $4.3 billion next year, according to a new report from eMarketer. "Traditional digital advertising has become wallpaper. It doesn’t improve anyone’s experience on a site and readers, myself included, pretty much look past it. … Brands that have a strong point of view and great partners to help them express it can enjoy massive engagement [with native],” GE’s Global Head, Media Strategy, Jason Hill told eMarketer.
 
Activia, Samsung and Nike took the top spots for Unruly’s most shared social video brands of 2014. Activia’s collaboration with Shakira for the World Cup, La La La (Brazil 2014), was the most shared ad of all time at 5.8 million global shares. Samsung (#Galaxy11: The Training and #Galaxy11: The Beginning campaigns) came in second at 4.3 million shares, in front of third place Nike at 3.8 million shares (The Last Game and Winner Stays). Coca-Cola took fourth place (3.3 million shares) followed by the NBA (3.1 million shares), Budweiser (3.1 million shares), GoPro (2.8 million shares), Adidas (2.8 million shares), Pepsi (2.4 million shares) and Electronic Arts in the last spot (2.3 million shares). “The video produced with Shakira in support of the World Food Programme has received an incredible response online…achieving this is also important in our approach of brand advertising, as viral or social videos have the ability to create a strong level of viewer engagement, and an active endorsement, which is a great measure of success,” Activia’s Global Marketing Director Nicolas Frerejean said.
 

 
EXEC MOVES
 

Evan Shapiro was appointed NBCUniversal’s Executive Vice President of Digital Enterprises. Shapiro spent the last two years at Participant Media, where he launched Pivot, a millennial-focused cable channel known for original series such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s HitRecord on TV and TakePart Live. Shapiro starts the newly created position on December 8th, and will report to NBCU Exec VP Cesar Conde. He is tasked with working on company-wide development of digital businesses and opportunities to reach audiences.
 
Digital studio Click 3X hired Damien Drake as the team’s Director. Drake is known for his work on Procter & Gamble’s Everyday Effect campaign, and his documentary collaborations with Oscar-winning producer Fisher Stevens. He is currently working his first feature-length doc, Friday Night Throwdown.
 
Universal Pictures named Michael Wise as Chief Technology Officer. He was most recently Vice President, Multiplatform Distribution Technologies for Turner Broadcasting System.
