RE/MAX of Western Canada will partner with the Western Hockey League to present the second season of “RE/MAX Presents: WHL Suits Up with Don Cherry to Promote Organ Donation” – a series of events across WHL markets to promote the importance of organ donation and to generate further support of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. All 17 WHL Clubs in Canadian markets will play host to their own themed games, complete with a variety of special promotions for fans in attendance. A total of 1,000 limited second edition Don Cherry bobbleheads will be distributed to fans in attendance.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has expanded its association with the NBA basketball league by becoming the presenting partner of the league’s China Games series from 2018 to 2020. Vivo first teamed up with the NBA in 2016 in a multi-year deal that named it as the official mobile phone partner of the league’s Chinese division.
The Boston Bruins and NESN announced a new partnership with New England Ford Dealers. The multiyear partnership includes the “Ford F-150 Final Five,” a sponsorship of the final five minutes of every Bruins game. The new deal includes a combination of customized virtual signage, on-screen graphics, social media posts and live reads by the Bruins broadcast team. New England Ford Dealers also will continue sponsoring NESN’s second intermission report, which includes a game summary, billboards, live reads and commercial inventory

The Heroes were recognized on-stage and provided with grants in the amount of $10,000. Veteran NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy is joining ESPN as an NBA analyst for the 2018-19 season. Van Gundy will primarily serve as a studio analyst, making appearances on several ESPN shows, including NBA Countdown, The Jump, Get Up!, SportsCenter, First Take and NBA specials. Van Gundy will debut on ESPN this Thursday, Oct. 4, appearing on Get Up!, First Take and SportsCenter.
Matt Millen, Big Ten Network’s lead football game analyst, will not return to the booth in 2018 as he continues to pursue treatment for amyloidosis, it was announced Wednesday.
