Gary Marsh is exiting his post as President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Branded Television at the close of 2021, ending a 33-year executive run with the company. However, he won’t be leaving Disney. Marsh will be transitioning to a broad production pact with Disney General Entertainment, where he’ll develop content for all Disney platforms from ABC to National Geographic, as well as programs for children and youth. Marsh begins the deal with commitments to develop two new “Descendants” movies, working on a “Beauty and the Beast” prequel and collaborating with producer John Davis on “Witch Mountain.”
A “Quantum Leap” reboot could be on the horizon, according to Scott Bakula. I don’t know who would have it. The rights were a mess for years. I don’t know if they’re even sorted out now. That’s always been the biggest complication.”
Nielsen announced an “Impressions First Initiative” to support the move to impressions-based buying and selling in local markets.
