Crown Media Family Networks has promoted Maureen Barrett to VP, Talent Relations & Events. In addition, Cynthia Raza has been elevated to Director, Publicity, while Megan Van Tine has been upped to Director, Corporate Communications.

Peter Lori was named CFO for Learfield, joining after three decades of experience with progressive responsibilities in finance, most recently as the chief financial officer for Univision Communications Inc. Prior to Univision, Lori was a client service partner for KPMG and Arthur Andersen serving global Fortune 500 accounts.

The NFL hired Shayna Hayes as Coordinating Producer/Head of Content with NFL Media’s Entertainment & Initiatives department. Shayna will oversee the department’s content production team, setting the creative and editorial direction of storytelling and bringing ideas for content that amplifies the NFL’s social justice/impact initiatives and tentpole entertainment events.

Abacus Media Rights, an Amcomri Entertainment company, which recently acquired Flame Media, has announced that Fiona Gilroy, former Content Sales & Acquisitions Director at Flame Media, will be working with Abacus Media Rights moving forward, managing producer relations and acquisitions throughout Australia and New Zealand and looking at funding models.

Bristol-based Natural History producer Wildstar Films has appointed Doug Mackay-Hope as SVP Development and Production. Mackay-Hope was previously Head of Development for the BBC Natural History Unit.

Beyond Rights has promoted James Mathews from Head of Business Affairs, Legal and Operations into the newly created position of COO, while finance director Mike Ibberson will become CFO. Camilla Formica has been named Chief Program Officer of The Cable Center. Formica joins from NCTI, where she was Chief Revenue Officer.

Sam Abiad has joined 605 as Executive Vice President and Head of Sales. Most recently, Abiad served as Senior Vice President for Advertising Sales Strategy and Operations at Univision Communications.

Viamedia has promoted Madeline Kissel to VP of Affiliate Relations and Business Development. Kissel joined Viamedia in 2012 as an intern.
