Instagram signed a deal with ad agency Omnicom worth up to $100 million, it was confirmed on Friday. Instagram users will see ads in their streams from Omnicom brands Procter & Gamble, GE, Starbucks and HBO, as part of the program Instagram launched last fall. "This doesn’t change our advertising strategy moving forward – people will continue to see a limited number of beautiful, high-quality photos and videos from select brands who already have a strong presence on Instagram," Instagram’s Director of Market Operations Jim Squires told AdAge.

Netflix is giving the Canadian comedy series Trailer Park Boys the Arrested Development treatment, with two new seasons of the show set to stream exclusively on the service beginning this year. TPB, which ended in 2007, will include ten new episodes along with all previous seven seasons, three standalone specials and two films, as of March 31.
In a network first, The CW produced two versions of an episode from Reign; the Thursday broadcast met TV standards, while the version made available online Friday morning included two sex scenes.
Amazon Prime is now streaming the first season of BBC thriller Orphan Black, ahead of its April 19 premiere on BBC America. The series follows a woman who takes the identity of a deceased woman who is her doppelganger, only to find out she is actually a clone. Amazon will have license to stream all following seasons as well.
My Damn Channel announced the fourth season of the filmmakers program Subway Fresh Artists. The comedy network will host and syndicate the three original web series created during the competition along with the past winners at MyDamnChannel.com/Subway, and YouTube.com/subway.
The New York Times and PBS’ documentary series POV will produce an online docu-series with companion articles and interviews. The first documentary, The Men of Atalissa, was made available over the weekend on pbs.org/pov and nytimes.com.
Season four of HBO‘s Game of Thrones will premiere on April 6 at 9 p.m. ET. In the meantime, the extended trailer was released yesterday on HBO Go.
Aereo got bad news Friday: federal court judges denied the service’s emergency motion to overturn the injunction against it in Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Wyoming and Montana, declaring, "Aereo has not made a strong showing that it is likely to succeed on the merits of its appeal." See you in the Supreme Court, said Aereo, where it will battle broadcasters starting April 22.

Starz launched a new app in anticipation for the second season of Da Vinci’s Demons premiering on March 22 at 9 p.m. ET. The app, Your Portrait by da Vinci, lets users upload a photo and watch as the iconic artist "sketches" a portrait to share on Facebook and Twitter. The network also released an interactive quiz called Dark Side of Genius, which measures a person’s propensity to being a "mad" intellect. The quiz is available on Starz.com and the show’s Facebook page.

A new Pew Research Study on millennial behavior, conducted Feb. 14-23, has been released. Key findings included:
- Digital Natives: Millennials are the only generation that did not adapt to new technologies, but rather was born into it.
- Facebook Friends: 81 percent of millennials are on Facebook, with a median friend count of 250. Gen Xer’s have 200 friends, 49-57 year olds have 98, with 58-67 year old clocking in at 50.
- So Selfie: 55 percent of millennials have posted a selfie on a social media site, while only six out of ten Baby Boomers know the definition of the word.
Univision appointed Amy L. Tenbrink as its Vice President of Business Affairs. Previously, she was Director and Senior Corporate Counsel at DISH Network.

Pepsi released a follow up spot to last year’s massive viral hit, Test Drive, which featured racecar driver Jeff Gordon in disguise taking a car salesman for a test drive. The ad for Pepsi MAX once again made an impression by bringing in more than 9.66 million views since it was released last week. The new Test Drive 2 add features Gordon again, but this time taking a blogger who claimed the first stunt to be fake for a different "ride of his life." Check out the video at www.cynopsis.com.
