MTV premieres its new docu-series If You Really Knew Me on July 20 at 11p. Each episode takes viewers inside a different high school across the US over a 24-hour period examining what happens to students when they reveal who they really are to their peers. Recalling the film The Breakfast Club, this series goes beyond the labels and cliques to unit students as they offer sometimes difficult facts about their lives. The series is executive produced by Arnold Shapiro and Paul J. Coyne of Arnold Shapiro Productions and Angie Day for MTV.

This weekend kicks off the 97th Tour de France and Versus will provide live coverage beginning this Saturday at 1130a from the race start in Rotterdam, Netherlands. ~ DISTRIBUTION, CLEARANCE & CARRIAGE ~

Oxygen Media signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with Twentieth Television for the basic cable syndication rights to FOX’s musical series Glee. Oxygen also picked up the right to develop a new reality series based on Glee. Oxygen will add Glee to its schedule with a weekend marathon of the second season episodes next January 2011 followed by the companion unscripted reality competition series that searches for the next Glee star who will debut in June 2011. Oxygen will gain exclusive basic cable rights to air all seasons of Glee on its schedule starting in 2013. Oxygen is reportedly paying an estimated $500,000 per episode for Glee. Glee is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.

In another Twentieth Television deal, USA Network acquired the exclusive syndication rights to ABC’s comedy Modern Family. USA Network, as part of the agreement, will schedule the series as a strip Monday through Sunday starting Fall 2013. The network is apparently paying $1.4 million per episode for Modern Family, just slightly less than what TBS is paying for Warner Bros.’ The Big Bang Theory at $1.5 million an episode. Modern Family is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Levitan Lloyd Productions.

Starz Entertainment, LLC, operator of 16 premium movie channels and Comcast Corporation have signed a new comprehensive affiliation deal involving the distribution of Starz Entertainment’s Starz, Encore and MoviePlex channels as well as the related HD, On Demand, HD On Demand and online advanced services. This new deal replaces the previous separate Starz and Encore agreements between the companies and financial terms of this updated multi-year deal were not forthcoming.
