News of these two series pick-ups comes soon after Comedy Central canceled the short-lived Sports Show With Norm Macdonald and Onion SportsDome.
Sunday’s season four bow of True Blood on HBO at 9p pulled in 5.4 million total viewers which equaled the previous high level mark for the series. The encore airing at 11p brought in a further 1.0 million total viewers for a combined 6.4 million total viewers for the night.
