Bounce TV Upfront: May 6, 2014

Bounce TV, launched in 2011, unveiled its programming plans, including two new original series, and announced big viewership gains.

 

The family-friendly net targeting African-Americans introduced Mann & Wife, “a black Brady Bunch,” premiering in winter 2015. Comedy Sisters, focusing on a once-famous R&B group living under the same roof, arrives in summer, 2015. Back for season two is Family Time, about working class clan lottery winners; stand-up comedy series Off the Chain returns for a third season in fall 2014.

 

As for those viewership numbers: Bounce boasted of a 43 percent increase in Household ratings versus year ago, 25 percent in P18-49 and 28 percent P25-54 in Prime delivery. In Total Day, the net was up 48 percent in Households, 48 percent in P18-49 and 62 percent in P25-54. New original series One Love reached nearly 1.1 million viewers across its series premiere week, making it the net’s most-watched original ever.

 

“Our message to Madison Avenue this year is ‘Diversify to Amplify’ and Bounce TV’s record-setting ratings growth combines with our exclusive and unduplicated reach to make the network a must-buy for brands seeking to reach the African American consumer,” said EVP of ad sales Elverage Allen.
