With rulings on same-sex marriage, affirmative action, voting rights, and genetic patenting set to be issued throughout the month, NBC News and MSNBC has announced a partnership with the Publisher of SCOTUSblog (Supreme Court of the United States blog) for coverage of the upcoming Supreme Court decisions. SCOTUSblog publisher Tom Goldstein will contribute as a Supreme Court analyst across NBC News and MSNBC on-air programs, and will contribute editorially to NBCNews.com and tv.msnbc.com through the duration of the current Supreme Court session. SCOTUSblog’s live coverage of the Court’s rulings will also be featured on NBCNews.com.

~ MORE GOOD STUFF ~

The adventures of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha live on. E! is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Sex and the City with a 12-hour marathon on Thursday, June 6 from 7a to 7p. E! News will also feature its own salute with soundbites from the series’ stars and famous guest stars, and special celebrity guests from the hit show will appear on this week’s The Soup and Studio E! Kristin Davis will appear on The Soup on Wednesday, June 5 at 10p, while Candace Bushnell and executive producer Amy B. Harris will guest on  Studio E! At 8p on Wednesday, June 5 at 8p.     

Meanwhile, there’s a group of fiery new females heading to Bravo. The network premieres. Eat, Drink, Love on Sunday, August 11 at 9p. The docu-series centers around five single ladies clawing their way to the top of the male-dominated Los Angeles food scene.

Susan Sarandon stars on OWN‘s latest edition of Oprah’s Master Class on Sunday, June 9 at 10p. The actress discusses numerous topics. Among them: her big break, growing up in a strict Catholic school that shaped her world views, becoming pregnant after doctors told her she wouldn’t be able to have children, and aging in Hollywood.

On the heels of her starring role in the ABC drama Mistresses, Alyssa Milano has a new gig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Milano has signed on as the new host of Lifetime‘s design competition series Project Runway All Stars. Milano will join returning judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman for the show’s third season, which begins production in New York in June and is slated to premiere this fall. The show is produced by The Weinstein Co. and Bunim/Murray Productions.

Twentieth Television‘s new talk show Kris, starring Kardashian “momager” Kris Jenner, will debut Monday, July 15, in five Fox-owned markets. The six-week test run will air on WNYW New York at 11a, on KTTV Los Angeles at 3p, on KMSP Minneapolis at 12p, on KSAZ Phoenix at 11a and on KDFW Dallas at 3p.

Gods, Guns & Automobiles debuts on History on Monday, July 8 at 10p. The half-hour series follows Mark Muller and his brother and business partner, Chicago radio personality Eric “Mancow” Muller, as they run their throwback auto dealership, Max Motors.  The series is produced by Zone 3 for History.

Cynopsis Digital’s BIG Monetization Summit is now exactly two weeks away. The NBCUniversal Foundation has launched its annual grant program, 21st Century Solutions, in partnership with the NBC Owned Television Stations. The program will award 30 grants, totaling $1.2 million, to local non-profit organizations in 10 markets, giving the organizations an opportunity to compete for recognition for their innovative, community-based programs in the areas of Civic Engagement, Education, Environment, Jobs and Economic Empowerment, Media Arts and Technology. Grant submissions will be accepted through July 31 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, D.C., Miami-Fort Lauderdale, San Diego and Connecticut.

Here TV, America’s only gay TV network, premieres two new series on Friday, June 7 as part of its summer 2013 Pride Season slate. Among the highlights: Half-Share, a 30-minute comedy that follows Mac, who’s fresh out of a long-term relationship and heading to Fire Island for the summer; and The Gayest Show Ever, which features field interviews with guest reporters. Here TV airs on all major U.S. cable systems as a 24-hour subscription service.

Bring on the ink. Oxygen Media is developing two new series: Tattoos After Dark [wt], featuring the outrageous antics that transpire during the night shifts at two popular tattoo shops, and Break Up Tattoos [wt], which brings exes together to rehash their drama and redo a tattoo that once symbolized their love. Tattoos After Dark is produced by 495 Productions. Break Up Tattoos is produced by Original Media.

~ DISTRIBUTION, CARRIAGE & CLEARANCE ~

Antenna TV, Tribune Broadcasting‘s digital multicast channel, has expanded to clearances on 75 television stations across the country. Gray Television Group has added Antenna TV in four markets: Madison, South Bend, Rockford and Augusta; and Dispatch Broadcast Group has added Antenna TV on WBNS in Columbus, OH, bringing the digital network’s reach to 63% of TV households. This fall, Antenna TV will add I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched to the lineup.

~ RETURNING SERIES ~

Oxygen Media has greenlit Best Ink for a third season to return this winter. The series’ second season finale airs Wednesday, June 5 at 10p.

~ CASTING NEWS ~

Jessica Alba, Val Kilmer, Tobey Maguire, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Sheen, Tim Robbins and Kristen Wiig are joining Will Ferrell in IFC‘s new original comedy The Spoils of Babylon, a parody of epic television mini-series. Production began June 2 in Los Angeles and will premiere in early 2014. The series is produced by Funny or Die.

Showtime has cast Dominic West (The Wire, The Hour) as the male lead of its drama pilot The Affair. He’ll play Noah, a good husband, devoted father of four, and New York City high school teacher whose world implodes when he meets a woman he thinks is his soul mate.

Friday A18-49 Analysis:  NBC and Univision tied for the night’s lead among A18-49 viewers Friday with a 1.3/5, according to final primetime national ratings from Nielsen. At 8p, Univision’s Porque el Amor Manda was #1 at 1.3/5, while NBC’s Dateline followed at 1.2/5. At 9p, Univision’s Amores Verdaderos and NBC’s Dateline tied for the lead at 1.6/6. ABC’s What Would You Do? was second at 1.3/5. ABC’s 20/20 led the pack at 10p at 1.3/4. NBC’s Rick Center with Brian Williams and UMA’s MEX National Team tied for second at 1.2/4.

~ EXECUTIVE MOVES ~

Jon Feltheimer has signed a new long-term deal to remain CEO of Lionsgate through May 2018. Feltheimer has been at the helm of the studio for 13 years. During his tenure Lionsgate has  launched 28 TV series on 20 different networks, including Mad Men and Weeds.

A&E Networks is elevating key positions and ramping up its programming division under new President and CEO, Nancy Dubuc. Industry veteran Robert DeBitetto has been named President, Brand Strategy, Business Development, A+E Studios. Dirk Hoogstra has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager, History and H2.  David McKillop has been upped to Executive Vice President and General Manager, A&E.  Robert Sharenow has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager, Lifetime. In addition, Jana Bennett has joined the company as President, bio. and LMN.

Sam Williams has been promoted to Vice President, Creative Director, CBS On-Air Promotion. In his new position, Williams will continue to create and implement on-air promotional strategies for CBS’ top comedies and dramas in addition to various other projects such as radio and network image campaigns.

CMT has named Turner Broadcasting veteran Hector Campos as Vice President Programming and Strategy, effective immediately. Campos will be responsible for planning and implementing short term schedules for the network’s linear and VOD program platforms and will oversee the management of the Program Planning and Scheduling Department. He last served as Director of Program Acquisition and Sales at Turner Broadcasting System in Atlanta.

Scripps Networks Interactive has named Aaron Gallagher as Senior Vice President of Digital Ad Sales, overseeing Scripps’ Home and Travel categories. Gallagher previously served as Vice President of Digital Ad Sales at Time, Inc. In addition, Scripps has promoted three sales managers to new positions. Dawn Costello has been upped to Director of Digital Ad Sales, home category, New York. Diana Horowitz has been appointed Director of Digital Ad Sales, food category, New York. Erin Wilken has been named Director of Digital Ad Sales, food category, Chicago.

Pie Town Productions has hired Blake Levin as Vice President of Programming. Levin will help manage current programming.

Island Def Jam Music Group has promoted Jennifer Hirsch-Davis to Vice President, Marketing Administration. Hirsch-Davis will oversee the quarterly and annual marketing/promotion budgets for the Island Def Jam Music Group, including Motown Records.

NPN Media has appointed health, wellness and parenting producer and author, Maureen Connolly as Executive Editor of KnowMore TV. Connolly, formerly an associate producer at The Dr. Oz Show, will be responsible for helping the brand become the standout source for health information and advice that can be easily integrated into consumers’ lives.

The Agency Group, a leading entertainment booking agency, has hired theatrical agent Simma Levine as Director of Theatrical Properties and Special Ventures. Levine, formerly of On The Road, where she oversaw national tours of Hairspray, The Producers, and other hit productions, will preside over The Agency Group’s theatrical division.
