For every little girl who has dreamed of being Miss America, or any boy who just dreams of meeting Miss America, now you can cast your vote to decide who wins the crown. CMT and the Miss America Organization are producing a seven episode documentary series, Finding Miss America, following the 52 finalists through the preliminary competitions prior to the actual on-air pageant. Set to air in January 2007, just days prior to the live 2-hour Miss America pageant on CMT, viewers will vote for their favorite contestants by phone or through CMT.com and get an inside look at the never-before-seen judges interviews.
The Sundance Channel has exclusive U.S. rights to air the five-part documentary series, Signé Chanel, produced by Arte France, Films d’Ici and Lallala Production. Airing in early September, the series will detail the House of Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2004-05 couture collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

ABC Family has ordered up a comedy pilot called The Other Mall, about a group of mall staff who are working very hard to reinvent and reinvigorate their sadly run down mall, which is now competing with the brand new stylish mall across the way. The project was originally in development for Fox Broadcasting and created/produced by Regency Television. The studio is no longer attached, so far Regency has not committed to the production for ABC Family.
Joining as a regular next fall on the NBC series ER is John Stamos. Stamos was a guest character in the role of paramedic and med student Tony Gates last November for two episodes. In the fall, Gates joins the ER team as a resident doctor.
Bernie Mac series creator Larry Wilmore has been added as a regular to the Untitled Port/Wiseman pilot for NBC Universal and CBS, as the third husband to Christine Baranski’s character. Larry started as a stand up comedian and was recently writing on The Office, and now he’s an actor as well.
The CW has given a pilot order to a project called Aliens in America. Lest you’re thinking something along the lines of Men in Black type of aliens living amongst us, think again. This project takes a decidedly different tack – the alien in is a Pakistani Muslim who comes to live with a family in Wisconsin as an exchange student.

Correction: It was reported yesterday that Edward R. Leon, SVP/Production at Sí TV will also become the Acting Head of Programming for the network. That part was accurate.
