Conan O’Brien’s Conaco production company and Warner Bros. Television received a script order from FOX for a single-camera medical comedy called Bob’s New Heart Show.  The title of the project pays homage to The Bob Newhart Show with the script from Community writer and co-EP Ben Wexler.  Bob’s New Heart Show follows a doctor’s return to his old neighborhood where he takes over a family practice after receiving a heart transplant.  Wexler will be an EP on the project along with O’Brien, David Kissinger and Jeff Ross.

Showtime ordered its first pilot for 2013 titled The Vatican, a thriller about spirituality, power and politics set against the modern-day Catholic Church.  Paul Attanasio (House) penned the one-hour script and Sir Ridley Scott will direct the pilot.  Production will begin in 2013 with Sony Pictures Television producing with Showtime for series pickup consideration.  Attanasio, Scott and David Zucker are serving as EPs.
