Kicking off the New Year, Animal Planet opens a sophomore season of Finding Bigfoot on January 1 at 10p. The new season follows four passionate Bigfoot researchers and adventurers who are members of the Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) as they search from small towns in the South to remote areas in the mountainous West to the Northeast and even into Canada to find evidence of Bigfoot’s existence. The second season consists of ten one-hour episodes produced by Ping Pong Productions for Animal Planet.
A fifth season of The Game is set to debut on BET starting January 10 at 10p. The Game, starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict as the wife of a football star, aired for three seasons on The CW before it was acquired by BET. Lifetime ordered an additional ten episodes of its drama series Army Wives for its sixth season. This will take the sixth season to a total of 23 episodes. Production is presently underway though it is not clear yet if these ten new episodes will run concurrently with the original 13 ordered eps or run separately.
Beginning December 10, BBC America will air episodes of The Graham Norton Show within 24 hours of their UK premiere, reports THR. Before this, episodes of the talk show would air on Friday nights via BBC One in the UK and then debut eight days later in the US on the following Saturday. BBC America has done something similar to this same-day episode premiere pattern with Doctor Who eps during the series’ sixth season. Produced by SO Television, The Graham Norton Show recently began its tenth season in October.
