Good Morning, it’s  Friday, January 19, 2007 and this is your first early morning briefing.

A third bid for Tribune Co. properties was made yesterday, this one coming from a private equity firm called The Carlyle Group.  As the other two bids, this one is for only part of the Tribune company, specifically the station group.  No other details were immediately available.  The board meeting this weekend now has three bids to review, tho word at the moment is none of the three look like a showstopper.

Tonight’s Premieres:
USA:  Monk at 9p and Psych at 10p
