04/15/11

Good morning. It’s Friday, April 15, 2011, and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.

Australia’s ABC Television is shifting some things around.  Beginning Monday, May 2, 2011 ABC1‘s kid’s programming will be replaced by ABC News Breakfast, while ABC2 expands its preschool programming to 13 hours a day from 6a-7p.  ABC News Breakfast had run on ABC2.  ABC1 will continue to broadcast the kid-targeted programming daily from 3p-6p.  The new ABC2 preschool lineup will exclusively launch the world premiere of the Bananas In Pyjamas animated series which will run daily at 8a and 1:30p from May 2.  The new series debut will be followed by a new season of Sesame Street and ABC TV’s Giggle and Hoot and Play School.  ABC For Kids preschool programming is also supported by a website where viewers can catch up on their favorite shows, play games, and creative activities.  For ABC TV’s older school-aged viewers, ABC3 will continue to provide 15 hours of programs daily from 6a-9p, as well as content on its corresponding website.
