Peacock’s ad-free Premium Plus tier is coming to Roku Premium Subscriptions through a new deal between NBCUniversal and Roku. The top-tier plan remains ad-free except for live sports and includes offline downloads and access to geo-targeted local TV stations. It’s priced at $16.99 per month or $169.99 annually, with availability on Roku expected shortly.

YouTube is rolling out its likeness detection technology to the entertainment industry, expanding a tool designed to identify AI-generated content – such as deepfakes of a person’s face – and allow individuals to flag and request its removal. The company began testing the feature last month with a select group of government officials, journalists, and political candidates.

A CNN special starring comedian and Donald Trump impersonator Matt Friend has been set for Friday, April 24 at 11p, the night before the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. “America Laughs With Matt Friend” will be an “unpredictable night of impressions, satire, and surprises,” said Friend.

Up for debate: NewsNation and The Hill will carry the Nexstar-hosted California gubernatorial debate tonight, followed on Tuesday, April 28 by a debate on CBS Television Stations. NBC4 and Telemundo 52 will host two live featuring top-polling candidates on Wednesday, May 6.

NATAS announced the emcees – all co-hosts of CNN’s “Have I Got News for You” – and lifetime achievement honorees for the 47th Annual Sports Emmy Awards and the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards, taking place in NYC. Comedian Roy Wood Jr. will host the sports ceremony, with sports media exec Steve Bornstein collecting the lifetime achievement honor on May 26. The event celebrating news categories will honor ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz at a ceremony hosted by Amber Ruffin. And on May 28, documentarian Sam Pollard will be honored, and comedian Michael Ian Black will host.

A sports-focused “Jeopardy!” spinoff is on the way from Sony Pictures Television. “ESPN Jeopardy!”, hosted by sportscaster Joe Buck, will stream on Disney+ and Hulu. No premiere date has been set.

Season three of Apple TV’s “Silo” debuts Friday, July 3, with episodes dropping weekly through September 4.

From brunch to BBQ, “Food Network’s Top 10” ranks meals across America, starting Monday, May 25 at 10p.

“Summerwater,” based on Sarah Moss’ novel, premieres Monday, May 25 on Acorn TV. The six-part mystery drama is set in a Scottish cabin resort.

Also kicking off May 25 is Investigation Discovery’s “The Many Lives of Benjamin Kyle.” The two‑night true crime thriller follows a mysterious man who claims to suffer from a rare form of amnesia. As producers embark on a mission to help him discover his identity, they’re spun into a web of lies and deceit.

Disney has inked a content development deal with Lenny Pearce, pioneer of Toddler Techno and Family Raves. As part of the deal, Pearce will develop new original animated content inspired by the “Toddler Techno” remix versions of its shows for Disney+. Additionally, Disney Music Group will release Pearce’s next album, “Disney Jr. Music: Lenny Pearce Toddler Techno,” on May 15, featuring remixed versions of Disney Jr. favorites with a modern twist. The first remixed single, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme (Toddler Techno Remix),” will be available April 24.

Banijay Entertainment has signed two new formats: Improvisation battle “The Laughing Throne,” produced by Kansai TV and Yoshimoto, and digital-first format/adventure game “Stop That Train,” created by French YouTuber Squeezie and director Théodore Bonnet.

Comcast NBCUniversal, Telemundo, and the US Soccer Foundation have expanded their commitment to increase access to high-impact youth soccer programs and coach-mentorship training in the lead-up to FIFA World Cup 2026. Telemundo and the soccer group have launched İSí, Coach!, a new Spanish-language platform designed to equip coaches with culturally relevant tools and training to mentor young people.

All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN) and Women’s Football Alliance (WFA), the women’s professional tackle football organization, struck a new, three-year media distribution agreement that begins with live broadcasts of multiple league games on Saturday, May 9.

The NHL and Navy Federal Credit Union have announced the United Heroes League (UHL) as this season’s NHL Stick Tap for Service honoree, recognizing the organization’s impact on military families and the hockey community. The credit union will donate $100 for every goal scored during the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs (up to $50,000) to support the UHL’s mission and programming. Additionally, the UHL will be spotlighted across Navy Federal and the NHL’s social media channels, as well as on ESPN’s “The Point” and TNT game broadcasts.

LIV Golf is rebranding Smash GC as OKGC, establishing Oklahoma as the team’s home market and marking the first time a LIV franchise is directly tied to a US market. The newly named team will debut at Maaden LIV Golf Virginia.

NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group FAST channel Telemundo Puerto Rico, featuring Telemundo Puerto Rico / WKAQ’s original entertainment and news programming, is available now on Prime Video. The 24/7 Spanish-language channel launched in the mainland US on Feb. 5.

wedotv has partnered with 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) to bring its FAST channels into the 3Ready Content Bundle, expanding entertainment available to in-car entertainment platforms. The channels include wedotv Movies for the UK, Italy, and DACH, Benelux, and Nordics regions; wedotv Auta for Poland; wedotv True Stories for DACH; and wedotv Cars and wedotv Big Stories across all regions.

ESPN scored its most watched NHL season of the current rights era, topping every season since the rights returned to ESPN in 2021 22, across ESPN and ABC. ESPN averaged 760,000 viewers across 54 games on ABC and ESPN, +30% YoY.
