surprised House of Cards fans yesterday with a “Special message from the White House” on social media, announcing that the series’ third season will debut on Feb. 27, 2015. The second season was released on Valentine’s Day this year.

ABC News will launch a social media newscast hosted by World News Tonight‘s David Muir. Called Facecast: The One Thing, the new show will give users a roundup of the top stories, trending news and air on the World News Tonight Facebook page. This is not the first exclusive video series to Facebook; Lionsgate partnered with author Stephenie Meyer and Women in Film for a miniseries based on the Twilight saga. Facecast aired its first segment yesterday.
 
SnapChat
just got its first video series: Topdeck Travel enlisted YouTube star Jimmy Hill (81,000 subscribers) and Thinkhouse agency to create Topdeck Snaps, a short video clip series. As Hill travels around Europe, he will share his journey with followers of @topdeck.travel on the disappearing-photo message platform. Hill took to his YT channel to explain his new venture and show. SnapChat intends to get more brands on board with a new content section called Discover.

British TV streaming service Acorn TV will debut the latest seasons of A Place To Call Home, Serangoon Road Midsomer Murders and Series 16 this month. Acorn also added Emmy-winning BBC series Accused, Series 1 and 2, Time Team 6, The Saint Set 2, miniseries Lilies and the comedies Trivia and Drop The Dead Monkey. The service is available at Acorn.TV, Roku, iTunes app and more.
