Season one of NBC’s Constantine won’t go past its initial order of 13 episodes, but the series could still get picked up for season two. While ratings have been soft, the drama jumped week to week from .8/3 among A18-49 to 1.1 on Friday, and had an 81 percent Live+3 lift the previous week.

The Writers Guild of America East filed charges with the National Labor Relations Board against ITV-owned Kirkstall Road Enterprises. The union claims the production company failed to bargain in good faith, instituting a health plan much more expensive than one previously on the table-. “It is incomprehensible that the ITV thinks it can cut pay, violate federal labor law, and stiff-arm the Writers Guild while still proposing to expand its presence in the US television market,” said WGA East executive director Lowell Peterson. Shows involved include NatGeo’s Cesar 911, A&E’s The First 48 and TLC’ Four Weddings.
Former Nightline anchor Bill Weir, who left ABC for CNN last year, will host weekly series The Wonder List for the news net. Pop, rebranding from TVGN on January 14, will debut Poptv.com on Tumblr the same day. Why launch the new net’s primary digital voice on this particular social platform? “Pop’s target audience are modern grown-ups with a fan-at-heart sensibility who are inherently social,” said Brad Schwartz, president, entertainment and media. “We know that this audience is highly engaged when expressing their fandom and sharing their passions with other fans – and we know they are doing that on Tumblr.”
David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) has joined martial arts drama Badlands (wt) as series director and an exec producer. AMC has ordered six one-hour eps, to premiere in late 2015 or early 2016.
ABC, which gave midseason drama Members Only a straight-to-series-order in January, has canceled the project. A pilot for the ensemble show set at a country club was shot last spring.
Paris-based KABO Family is launching a new TV distribution arm, Kabo International, focusing on worldwide distribution of Kabo scripted and comedy formats, as well as third-party formats.

SundanceTV six-parter Babylon premieres Thursday, January 8 at 10p. Dramedy from Nightjack Ltd and Channel 4 is set in a London police force.
Discovery Life’s The Mistress (wt) had better settle on a title, because the docu-series comes roaring out of the gate with back-to-back eps Wednesday, January 21 at 10p and 10:30p. A self-described former mistress of the rich and famous offers tough love to help women escape extramarital affairs, but don’t call it tabloid TV. “At its heart, this series is truly about redemption, rising above temptation, and helping ‘the other woman’ become her own woman,” said Jane Latman, GM, Discovery Life Channel, taking the place of Discovery Fit & Health on January 15.
Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield) will star in TNT’s drug trade drama pilot from exec producers Jerry Bruckenheimer and Michael Bay. Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds) plays his mom.
Stephen Weber (Wings) guests on an episode of Showtime’s House of Lies as a turnaround specialist. Season four of the comedy premieres Sunday, January 11 at 10p.

Budweiser ads this holiday season won’t focus on clomping Clydesdales, according to the Wall Street Journal, as the brand pivots to appeal to the 20-something crowd now enamored of craft beer. Instead of marketing to all ages, as it has in the past, Bud will air spots featuring people in their 20s. “This is a very considered, long-term view of what will turn around the brand,” Brian Perkins, AB InBev’s VP of marketing for Budweiser, told WSJ.

Nevertheless, it was enough to hand ABC its biggest Sunday night since the Oscars on March 2.
Football also beat AMC’s The Walking Dead in the young adult demo, after the zombie drama landed on top for three weeks in a row. In fast nationals, Sunday Night Football delivered a 7.1 rating, versus 7.0 for Dead.
