During the fourth week of the new season, ABC claimed more of the week’s Top 10 gainers in L+7 playback among A18-49 than any other network, with four programs: The Good Doctor (+2.1 rating points), Modern Family (+1.3), How to Get Away with Murder (+1.1) and Designated Survivor (+1.1).
Investigation Discovery celebrated its best October ever for delivery of total viewers (P2+) in prime and the network is on track for its best year ever, according to Nielsen data. Year to date, ID is the No. 1 ad-supported cable network for W25-54 and No. 2 network for A25-54 in total day delivery. Top series for the month included Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda (1.8 million P2+) and Shattered (nearly 1.5 million P2+).

EXECUTIVE MOVES
Chris Long, programming head of AT&T Audience Network for almost two decades, is exiting the company. Long started at Audience when it was owned by DirecTV and remained at the helm following AT&T’s acquisition of DirecTV. “For the past 18 years I’ve felt an extraordinary degree of good fortune and pride in building the Audience Network into what is has become today—a creative, quality haven for talent on both sides of the camera,” said Long. “And I’ve been blessed to have worked alongside a team that is second to none. I wish them all the very best moving forward—because I’ll be watching.” AT&T’s acquisition of Time Warner is pending.
Univision News appointed John B. Perez to the post of SVP, production and technical operations. Perez comes to Univision News from Univision Network, where he most recently, he was VP of production operations for the network’s Entertainment, News, and Sports divisions.
ABC Studios International tapped former NBCUniversal International Studios exec Guy Sheppard as head of business affairs.
