CNN’s long-term plan “will no longer rely on commissioned projects,” CNN Worldwide Chairman and CEO Chris Licht informed staffers in a memo. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.” Shonda Rhimes was among those deciding to quit Twitter under its new ownership. “Not hanging around for whatever Elon has planned. Bye,” tweeted the TV titan. Donald Trump had a different take. “I am very happy that Twitter now is in sane hands and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate out country,” posted the former president on Truth Social.
Netflix has renewed “The Witcher” for season four, with a major recast: Liam Hemsworth (“The Hunger Games”) will replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Cavill, who is reprising his role as Superman in an upcoming film as well as starring in “Enola Holmes 2,” posted on Instagram, “I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.” Season three of the fantasy series is slated to premiere in summer 2023.
