The Players’ Tribune is teaming with Prime Video for a “first-of-its-kind” collaboration to support the launch of upcoming series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, which will be available Aug. 31 on Prime Video. TPT will produce immersive video content from Prime Video’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan experience at San Diego Comic-Con with Ronda Rousey, Joel Embiid, and Richard Sherman. The athletes will embark on adventures such as the Jack Ryan Training Field, a hyper-reality 4D virtual-reality spy experience that tests the mental and physical strength of each athlete, putting them in a variety of scenarios, including riding a zip line, navigating a balance beam and driving a speeding car. The athletes will also have to escape from a room in the Dark Ops adventure, a first-of-its-kind experience which recreates a scene from the pilot episode of the new show.
The North Face announced the 2018 global brand program, “Walls Are Meant for Climbing,” asking people to rethink the way they look at walls. According to the company, the program aims to “counter the divisions we’re witnessing globally by inviting people to find trust in community.” In the US, the North Face continues its partnership with The Trust for Public Land to support the installation of public climbing walls in more communities, with a focus on underserved areas and making the sport more accessible to all.
Amazon.is reportedly set to offer up a new set of real-time statistics and graphics for live baseball games later this season, expanding its cloud computing deal with MLB, according to a Reuters report. The deal makes use of Amazon Web Services’ artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, follows a similar deal with the National Football League in November.

The East Coast Conference is poised to introduce League of Legends as a sport and host their own seasons in 2019 and 2020. In addition, the Peach Belt Conference will also be bringing three more seasons of College League of Legends to their players in the 2019, 2020, and 2021 seasons. Starting next January, schools from both conferences will compete in their own respective conferences in a regular season before advancing into their own conference championships.

The College Football Playoff announced that Andrea Williams had been named Chief Operating Officer of the organization. Haas spent 15 years within the Boston Red Sox organization, most recently as Vice President, Florida Business Operations and will oversee the business operations for the Western & Southern Open, which is a joint WTA and ATP World Tour tennis tournament held each August.
