Conan O’Brien is selling his Team Coco company, including 10 podcasts, to SirusXM for $150 million. O’Brien inked a five-year deal that includes producing a comedy channel for the satellite radio giant, which will include his hit celebrity interview show, “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.” Team Coco’s staff will join SiriusXM along with the big guy.
“Blood & Treasure,” which premiered on CBS in May 2019, is moving to Paramount+ for a pandemic-delayed season two. The sophomore run starts streaming Sunday, July 17.
Next Fifteen Communications has made an offer of about $386 million for M&C Saatchi Group, days after a hostile offer for $50 million less was made by AdvancedAdTV. Next Fifteen maintains its in-house data offering “could be immediately leveraged across the enlarged groups to create significant new client opportunities.” Saatchi’s board of directors rejected the AdvancedAdTV offer, and recommended shareholders seal the Next Fifteen deal.
ITV and PBS Masterpiece’s “Endeavor” will come to an end with season nine, currently filming. Season eight will air in the US starting June 19.

UK’s Electric Shadow Company and Rogan Productions are producing and financing the true crime miniseries “Original Sin,” exploring murderer Gerhard Jansen van Vuuren. After violently murdering his girlfriend when she was 25, in front of witnesses and CCTV cameras, and escaping prison twice, van Vuuren evaded the authorities across two continents for years, assumed three different identities and started families with several different women, before he was caught in 2020.
Amazon Studios ordered two seasons of “The Hospital.” The adult animated comedy from Maya Rudolph and Natasha Lyonne’s Animal Pictures follows daring alien surgeons who take on the most challenging cases in the galaxy.
Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, SK Global (“Crazy Rich Asians”), Jeff Sagansky and Florence Sloan have launched content company Jaya Entertainment, focused on premium international series. Kilian Kerwin, previously EVP of International Productions at SK Global, will lead day-to-day operations. “We look forward to digging in with our India and Israel-based collaborators, along with expanding our partnerships along the way,” said the Jaya team. “Kilian’s expansive international, local language work to date, makes him uniquely qualified to lead our efforts.”

HBO Max and Cartoon Network have ordered animated preschool series “Scooby-Doo! And the Mystery Pups,” from Warner Bros. Animation. “This show combines everything we love about Scooby – his humor, his loyal friendship with Shaggy, his mystery-loving spirit – all in an innovative and accessible format for preschoolers,” said Amy Friedman, Head of Kids & Family Programming for Warner Bros. “Cartoonito parents and caregivers will get to introduce kids to their beloved childhood hero in a totally new way.”
Diablo Cody (“Juno”) has joined “City of Likes,” in development with Sony Pictures Television and The Nacelle Company, as executive producer of a series adaptation of the upcoming book. The story focuses on an unemployed writer who seeks a fresh start and finds herself immersed in the world of momfluencers.
Original cast member Lina Esco is leaving CBS’s “S.W.A.T.” after five seasons. “Bringing to life a strong, smart, bisexual character like Chris Alonso has been both a pleasure and a powerful opportunity to increase visibility for diverse women everywhere,” Esco wrote in a message on Instagram. “Five years later, I am leaving S.W.A.T. to pursue new creative endeavors.”
Okieriete Onaodowan (“Station 19”) landed the title role in AMC’s “Demascus.” The comedic sci-fi series follows a Black man on a mission of self-discovery.

NFL star Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions has joined as executive producer on the show, which will have teams attempting to pull items from towers of objects without knocking the towers down.
Food Network offers a new take on relationship reality shows with “Me or the Menu,” premiering Thursday, June 30 at 10p. Couples at different stages in the restaurant business are put to the test to make their dreams come true.
HBO reality series “Hard Knocks In Season” will follow the Arizona Cardinals. This in-season edition of “Hard Knocks” will be the first appearance for the Cardinals as part of the franchise, which originally launched in 2001.
Lifetime’s Life & Crime Mondays kick off June 6 with “#TextMeWhenYouGetHome” at 9p and “Sleeping with a Killer” at 10p.

Major media companies’ spend on advertising for premium streaming services rose 27% in total media versus a year ago, according to iSpot.tv. The value of streaming services placing advertising on their own media companies’ TV networks was 9% higher, rising to $152.1 million. The biggest individual paid spender over the last two months is Apple TV+, at $29.9 million, followed by Disney+ ($20.5 million); Amazon Prime Video ($20 million); DirecTV Stream $17.3 million); and Hulu ($12.2 million).
