We love to celebrate a great year and are thrilled to do just that by honoring Christina Miller, Senior VP, Turner Sports Strategy, Marketing and Programming and Senior VP and GM, NBA Digital with this year’s Cynopsis Sports Navigator Award. The honor is presented every year to a hands-on sports executive whose media platforms delivered eye-popping numbers and growth. Under Miller’s watch, the 2012-13 NBA season ranked as the third most-viewed season in TNT’s 29-year history with the league, while NBA Digital netted record-setting growth across its entire portfolio including NBA TV delivering its most-viewed complete regular season of all time; NBA.com recording more than 9.6 billion page views and 6.5 billion video streams (through The Finals), both all-time records; and NBA Mobile generated more than 86 million video streams, a record-setting mark. Please join us on April 17 at Yale Club in NY as we honor Miller, along with NBC Sports Group Chairman Mark Lazarus, NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France and our annual winners. Ugh! While trimming a story in yesterday’s edition, we inadvertently blended together two people into one confusing name. Our apologies to Scott Blackmun. Thanks for all the emails to let me know (and, for one of you, please note that the word “moron” does not have the letter “a”).
