Cynopsis: Kids!
10/06/10

Good morning. It’s Wednesday, October 6, 2010, and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.

Technicolor options the rights to Atomic Puppet (52×11), a new animated action/comedy series.  Targeted to K6-11, the series will be produced by Technicolor Digital Productions, in association with creators Mark Drop and Jerry Leibowitz.  Atomic Puppet follows escapades of Joey Felt (11) and his superhero sidekick Atomic Puppet, a magical puppet that comes to life when Joey puts his hand into it, and their ongoing fight for truth as they travel across the country with Joey’s eccentric family.  Drop has written for a range of series, including Recess, Dinosaur Train and Kick Buttowski.  Leibowitz is a writer/artist and was creator/executive producer of The Mouse and the Monster (UPN).

Australia’s SLR Productions options the rights to UK HarperCollins Children’s Books book series Dream Dogs.  SLR will develop the Dream Dogs books as a 26×30 live-action series targeted to tweens.  SLR is seeking partners this week at Mipcom.  Based on the Dream Dog books by Aimee Harper, the series will take a humorous look at what dogs are really thinking, and will feature Pepper, a scruffy, gung-ho dog and his owner Bella (12), and her family.
