NFL Network has signed a carriage deal with Insight Communications to carry the network’s Thursday and Saturday night NFL games, according to MultiChannel News. Insight originally signed to carry the network a couple of years ago and has it running on its basic tier. The piece left out of that deal was the premium surcharge Insight would have to pay to carry the network’s eight primetime football games. The deal was struck after NFL Network’s premiere game which was played on Thanksgiving evening. For that game and in the NFL Network’s universe of 40 million cable homes, the game delivered a 6.8 HH rating and 4.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Broadcast Evening News numbers for the week of November 20th:

The series is produced by HBO Grey Television in association with HBO Original Programming.
The premiere of MTV’s The Real World: Denver last Wednesday night delivered 5.3 million P12-34 viewers, an increase of 10% over last season’s Key West debut. The new Real World made MTV the most watched cable network for the night between 8-11p among P12-34.
Lifetime Television will begin airing Grey’s Anatomy January 7 at 11p, starting with season one and thereafter airing weekly on Sunday nights. Grey’s Anatomy is a Touchstone Television Production and is distributed by Buena Vista Television.
Borrowing on the film An Officer and a Gentleman, ABC has unveiled the next Bachelor: U.S. Navy Lieutenant Andy Baldwin, M.D., an undersea medical officer for a special dive unit stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Andy will star in the tenth season of The Bachelor when it returns next spring. In addition to being a military man and doctor, Andy is an award-winning triathlete who grew up in Lancaster, PA and was the valedictorian of his high school class.
