* MORE GOOD STUFF *

BBC America has acquired six new series for their U.S. viewers debuting this summer and fall.

  • Gordon Ramsay’s F Word – premieres October 2006, the celebrated chef cooks up his famous dishes for his famous guests and starts up a campaign to get women back in the kitchen which raised eyebrows and controversy when it aired in the UK.
  • Shipwrecked – premieres July 26, two groups of 18-23 year old castaways are stranded on different islands in the South Pacific. • Bump ‘N’ Grind – premieres July 26, this show searches for Britain’s hidden dance talent with twelve dancers selected to participate in two different camps – Booty Camp and Posh Camp – where they will live and rehearse together for one month. Each group is competing for a year’s contract with a top dance company.
  • Dealing with Dickinson – premiere date TBD, David Dickinson teaches six antiquing amateurs the tricks of the antique trade and sets them loose in a major international antique fair to make as much profit as possible. If they lose money, then Dickinson has to pay up.
  • Masterchef Goes Large – premiere date TBD, a huge cooking competition starting with 96 contestants going through a range of challenges, such as cooking for millionaire rock stars or making lunch for 600 marines, eventually nets down to four finalists competing to win the title of Masterchef.

Endemol has signed a deal with ABC for For The Rest of Your Life and with FOX for Show Me The Money.  Both are game show formats from Deal or No Deal creator, Dick de Rijk. The first pits players against each other to win a monthly stipend for the rest of their lives.  In Show Me the Money, the players are alternatively in, or out of control of the prize. The U.S. networks will air 5-10 episodes in the second part of 2006.

Casting Call: The Daily Buzz, the national morning television show recently renewed by the CBS Television Stations group and The CW Plus for Fall 2006, is looking for a new co-host to anchor along with Andrea Jackson.
