Good Morning. It’s Wednesday, June 14, 2006, and this is your first early morning briefing.
While there is no word when he may be able to return to work, ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff made a surprise visit to the ABC Newsroom yesterday and by all accounts looked terrific, tho perhaps a little fattening up may be in order. For many newsroom staffers, this was the first time they’d seen Woodruff in person since he and his cameraman Doug Vogt were seriously injured in Iraq by a roadside bomb back on January 29. According to the network website, Woodruff said he woke up after being out for 36 days thinking about his co-workers: “I thought about you guys and I thought about everything that I wanted badly to come back to.”
