NAT GEO CHANNEL’S HIGHEST-RATED SEASON PREMIERE!1.3 million total viewers and 863,000 viewers in the key P25-54 demo tuned in to the premiere.

Sunday night’s season three finale of Univision’s reality dance competition Mira Quien Baila! (Look Who’s Dancing) attracted 6.9 million viewers who watched a portion or the entire broadcast. The season finale additionally tallied an average audience of 3.9 million total viewers; 1.9 million with A18-49; and 786,000 among A18-34.
Lifetime debuts new docu-series Double Divas in January that goes inside the world of intimate apparel found at Atlanta’s boutique LiviRae Lingerie. The network will premiere Double Divas with two back-to-back episodes beginning January 10 at 10p following Project Runway All Stars. Lifetime’s viewers will also be able to watch a sneak peek of Double Divas on New Year’s Day at 1030p. The series follows LiviRae’s owners and best friends Molly Hopkins, dubbed the “bra whisperer” and Cynthia Richards, considered the “Thomas Edison” of custom lingerie. Double Divas is produced by NorthSouth Productions and A+E Networks will handle global sales.
Behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, Investigation Discovery delves into stories of big dreams that turned into nightmares when the new series Final Cut premieres December 5 at 9p. The new six-part series, with investigative journalist Pat LaLama providing expert commentary in each episode, looks at stories of aspiring young stars who encounter a deadly end. Final Cut is produced for Investigation Discovery by LMNO Productions.
Big cats are back on Nat Geo WILD next month when the network presents its Third Annual Big Cat Week. Nat Geo WILD’s week-long programming stunt kicks off with Snow Leopard of Afghanistan on December 9 at 8p and in this special viewers will witness the tracking, capture and release of a rare snow leopard by expert cat handler Boone Smith. The network’s programming throughout the week will further spotlight other big cat species such as lions, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars, cougars and more.
Logo gears up for a fifth season of reality competition show RuPaul’s Drag Race returning to the network’s schedule in January 2013. Fourteen contestants will battle for a $100,000 cash prize, the crown and the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar. World of Wonder Productions is behind the series.
Fashion comedy series Fashion Police on E! celebrates its 100th episode on November 30 at 10p. The weekly show stars Joan Rivers, Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos who review and dish on celebrity fashions from red carpet style to everyday looks. Fashion Police is produced by Comcast Entertainment Studios.
REELZCHANNEL has launched on Comcast systems in Pennsylvania, Colorado and New Mexico. The Pennsylvania launch expands REELZ’ availability in the Philadelphia area while the launch in Colorado marks the first time REELZ has been available to Comcast cable subscribers in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas. The launches in Las Cruces and Santa Fe, NM are additional New Mexico markets for the network which is already available via Comcast in Farmington and Albuquerque, NM.
CBS handed a script commitment order to producer Carol Mendelsohn’s (CSI) latest project which is being adapted from Kate Braestrup’s novel Here If You Need Me. The drama project centers on a female state trooper whose husband is killed. To cope with her grief, she takes over her husband’s life and finds spirituality in the process. Neil Tolkin is involved to adapt the novel with Mendelsohn and her Mendelsohn Productions’ executive Julie Weitz along with The Practice producer Jeffrey Kramer. Braestrup is also on board as an executive consultant. CBS Television Studios is producing. This is the third sale for Mendelsohn during the current development season as she has the cop drama Second Sight also at CBS and the PI project Jane Whitefield at The CW.
Dee Haslam and Ross Bagwell, Sr., whose entertainment interests include RIVR Media in Knoxville, TN behind such television series as Whale Wars for Animal Planet and Trading Spaces for TLC, have launched Nest Features, a company dedicated to producing feature-length films. Nest Features is also based in Knoxville with the goal to produce two to four feature-length films in the next two years utilizing a regional cast and crew.

Banijay Group is teaming with multi-platform French producer, Mediatic System to launch a new channel format on the CanalSat platform: Non-Stop People. The new channel launched yesterday in France as a 24-hour news outlet offering celebrity and entertainment news with 24/7 around-the-clock coverage using 30 journalists reporting from regional hubs based in Paris, Los Angeles, New York and London. Non-Stop People will offer news bulletins in 15-minute increments including feature and packages that go in-depth into big stories based on global entertainment news. The new channel also has digital extensions such as mobile and tablet apps as well as a dedicated website running real time news and exclusive video content. Hugues Dangy, Founder/President of Mediatic System will manage the new channel.
Zodiak Rights, the distribution unit of Zodiak Media has sold the UK version of Being Human to Italian public channel RAI television. RAI picked up the first four seasons of the series produced by Touchpaper (a Zodiak Media company) for BBC3.
As of this Friday tvN will be rebranded as channel M which is currently available in hi-def via SingTel mio TV and StarHub TV. channel M will feature K-culture programming and will continue to bring Korean entertainment programming. tvN launched in 2009 and has served as the Korean entertainment channel offering various television genres to audiences in South East Asia.

CBS’ Undercover Boss won at 8p with 1.8/6 and Univision’s Por Ella Soy Eva was a close contender at 1.7/6. At 9p, ABC’s Shark Tank and Univision’s Amores Verdaderos tied for #1 at 1.9/6 apiece and NBC’s Grimm was next in third place at 1.6/5. Former FOX News Chief White House Correspondent, Major Garrett has become CBS News’ Chief White House Correspondent effective starting November 25. Major will report for all CBS News broadcasts and platforms and will from time to time serve as substitute anchor of Face the Nation. Prior to this full-time appointment Major’s work with CBS News was part of a partnership between the news division and National Journal. Even after joining CBS News full-time Major will still contribute to National Journal as a Correspondent at Large and continue to write his weekly column.
Jack Walsh was appointed VP/GM of WUPA-TV, the CW affiliate in Atlanta owned by the CBS Television Station group. Prior to his new position, Jack served as Local Sales Manager at WGCL-TV, the CBS Television Network affiliate in Atlanta since April 2009.
