A staffer on the Maury Povich Show has filed a $100 million sexual harassment suit, naming several defendants including Povich and NBC Universal Television.  The Plaintiff’s court papers allege she was forced to work in an atmosphere that was both abusive and sexually-charged, that she was required to expose herself on video tape that was then shown to guests on the show, that she had to participate in hidden camera set-ups at bars trying to seduce men, and she was subject to a senior female producer who created a hostile and abusive workplace, among other charges. Statements provided by both the show and NBC Universal deny the charges.

The Discovery Channel will continue for a second year as title sponsor of The Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team (DCPCT), to encourage more participation in the sport. Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France winner, will also lend his image and brand to the campaign from the sidelines. The overall campaign includes a major cycling event on August 12 at the Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway, online content as well as marketing and advertising support.
When the puck was dropped at the opening face off of the New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils playoff game on Monday night at 7p, DISH subscriber could see the game on the America’s Top 180 tier.  OLN was dropped from Echostar’s DISH network last fall after a dispute over the OLN rate card.  The two are now seeing eye to eye and OLN is back on DISH.

The CW had added 15 new stations, taking its total national coverage to more than 85%. The new stations are:
KSBY-DT/Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-San Luis Obispo
KRIS-DT/Corpus Christi
KRTV-DT/Great Falls

A Cynopsis housekeeping note:  On Monday, May 1, Cynopsis will be moving to a new server and launching our new website at www.cynopsis.com. To be sure there is no interruption in the delivery of the daily edition(s) to you, please be sure to add [email protected] to your address book (the address from which Cynopsis is generated), and notify your IT Dept that Cynopsis will be coming from this new IP address:  This latter part is particularly important, especially for those companies with spam and junk mail filters, which is most of you.  The easiest thing – just cut and paste this paragraph and forward along to the guys in IT. They can holler back to me if there’s a question.  Remember – this will be effective next Monday. Thanks!
