Lifetime Television is turning pink with a new reality competition series Blush: The Search for the Next Great Make-Up Artist starting November 11 at 10p. Over six one-hour episodes, contestants will compete for a professional contract from Max Factor, a cash prize of $100,000 and the chance to do the make-up for an In Style photo shoot. Vanessa Marcil will host the series with In Style’s fashion director Hal Rubenstein and professional make-up artist/author Joanna Schlip as judges. Well-known make-up artist to supermodels, Charlie Green will be mentor to the players. Similar to most competition series, the contestants will live together in Los Angeles while battling through various challenges as one by one they are eliminated. IMG Entertainment and connective tissue, the branded entertainment unit of MediaVest, are co-producing for Lifetime.

Bravo takes a bite out of the Big Apple for the fifth season of Top Chef premiering November 12 at 10p. Seventeen new contestants will cut, chop and create culinary delights to impress the judges headed by Tom Colicchio, chef/owner of Craft Restaurants and Gail Simmons of Food & Wine Magazine, along with new judge Toby Young, food critic/author. Padma Lakshmi will once again host and throughout the season celebrities such as Martha Stewart, Foo Fighters, Jean-Georges, Eric Ripert, Rocco DiSpirito, Wylie Dufresne, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Natasha Richardson will make appearances. Magical Elves produces Top Chef: New York.

Showtime will premiere The United States of Tara on January 18 at 10p following the sixth season opener of The L Word at 9p and prior to the second season debut of The Secret Diary of a Call Girl at 11p, cites Variety. CYNOPSIS DIGITAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY:  Fair use of online content can go too far, apparently. NBC asked YouTube to pull a mashup ad yesterday from the Obama campaign, according to reports, that combines NBC and MSNBC news footage to imagine a future where John McCain wins the election in November. NBC also asked the campaign to quit using the ad, which has been posted on VoteForChange.com and has been racking up thousands of views on political sites such as DailyKos as an embed. Full edition: CYN DIGITAL.

CYNOPSIS KIDS – TODAY’S TOP STORYJack Black and Angelina Jolie return for DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda sequel, which is scheduled for release on June 3, 2011.  The movie will be produced in stereoscopic 3D and is to be released into Imax theatres as well.  Kung Fu Panda 2 will again be written and co-produced by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger.  Melissa Cobb will produce.  The movie will be directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, head of story on the first movie, and will be produced by Melissa Cobb.  Full edition: CYN KIDS.
