CBS has pulled 3 LBS. from the schedule after just three airings. The show debuted with a modest 2.9 A18-49 rating, and its most recent airing pulled an even more modester 2.4 demo rating. Filling the time period for the time being – reruns.
ABC has scheduled five consecutive episodes of Primetime to air in the Wednesday 10p time period, filling the void left by The Nine. The five airings of Primetime will all have the same subtitle – Basic Instinct. Each episode will focus on peoples’ instinctual reactions to the same situations – unruly children, loud cellphone users, etc., all captured on hidden cameras. Whether or not the news show will remain in the time period after the five airings, remains to be seen.
The TBS double episode premiere of the original scripted comedy My Boys on Tuesday night delivered nearly 1.25 million A18-49 viewers at 10p, and 756,000 A18-34 viewers. For the 1030p second episode, it held most of its viewers with a delivery of 1.16 million A18-49 viewers at 1030p, and 671,000 A18-34.
So let’s say you either don’t have the NFL Network at home, or for whatever reason can’t find the time to watch the upcoming Thursday or Saturday night games, and don’t have any sort of DVR set up. Well, you may still have a shot if you are a Verizon FIOS broadband customer or a Verizon FIOS subscriber with DirecTV, you may be in luck, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The NFL Network will test the internet delivery with tonight’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, and the first coverage for subscribers will be available with the December 7th game between the Steelers and the Browns.
Just four more days until the official launch of CableU , the subscriber-based website for programmers and producers alike, in partnership by Cynopsis and CABLEready. A website for programmers and producers, it’s full of up-to-date proprietary research, analysis, strategic information and insights on 25 U.S. cable networks. Whether your pitching a new show or scheduling one, CableU has all the tools needed. Check it out – take the Virtual Tour. You just won’t find this level of stuff anywhere else.
Correction : Yesterday’s MTV: Real World ratings story used an incorrect verb which gave the story a completely different read. Here is how the story should have run:
The premiere of MTV’s The Real World: Denver last Wednesday night reached 5.3 million P12-34 viewers.
