Inspired by his 10 year old daughter Karma Bridges, the interactive site features kid-targeted and well-produced original pop songs with educational lyrics, as well as games and stories that underline basic academic concepts (math, science and geography) for kids in grades 1-3 and 4-6, and ideas of ethical and social responsibility (manners, honesty, kindness). The site also offers teaches and parents suggestions of activities, new books and movies for kids, as well as lesson plans and quizzes for teachers and parents that will be refreshed regularly. Of course songs from Karmasworld.com are also available on iTunes.com ($.99/each). Plans for the site also include offering giveaways among other things.

Additionally, Marvel inks a licensing deal with DreamSeat, which will produce a collection of Marvel-themed interchangeable chair panels (zip logo panels) for its personalization XZipit System (includes recliners, office chairs, video game rockers, club chairs, among others). Club Penguin is encouraging its kid members to play to help trigger positive social change in the real world as part of its fifth annual Coins For Change event. Designed to show kids that they can make a difference and inspire them too, Coins For Change asks kids who visit the virtual world to donate virtual coins they earn playing games online to real world causes that matter to them. The various kid, family and planet-centric causes are pre-selected projects. This year, kids are being challenged to fill the island lighthouse with donated coins, which apparently takes US $1 million to fill because if this goal is reached, Club Penguin says it will double its overall cash donation to $2 million. The annual event will take place December 15-27, 2011, and at the end the players’ virtual donations will serve as votes to determine how the real world monetary contribution from Disney Online Studios will be divided come January 2012.
