Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia:   Entirely too rugged to be considered a doll, this 12″ toy featured a scar on its right cheek and came well equipped to fight any enemy.  Who is he?  GI JOE  Kudos to: Tony Ferranti-MMSI/Warwick; Mara Anastas-Simon & Schuster/NY; Alex Garber-HarperCollins Publishers/NY; Rick Gallagher-Bookazine/Bayonne; Katherine Kaufman-Televix Entertainment/Beverly Hills; Sherri Lawson-American Forces Network/March ARB, CA; Elize Morgan-Slainte Pictures/Toronto

Today’s Trivia Question:  In 1978 this was the toy to have for the holiday season – parents across the country camped out in front of their local toy store hours in advance of the shipments arriving, just to be sure their little ones at home could say they too had one of the most coveted toys of the season.   The toy line was soon known as “the greatest success story in the long history of dolls.”  What doll is this?      (Email [email protected] with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
