12/20/07

Good Morning.  It’s Thursday, December 20, 2007 and this is your first early morning briefing.

With the closing of Tribune Entertainment distribution unit, American Idol Rewind will now be distributed by Trifecta Entertainment.  Other news at Trifecta is the new involvement of Kerry McCluggage and Jeff Sagansky, who are joining the company as investors and partners.  Meanwhile, over at Tribune, news came yesterday of the imminent departure of Dennis FitzSimons, who at year’s end will step down as Chairman/CEO, following the closing of the $8.2 billion buyout sale to Sam Zell.

Tonight’s Finale:
NBC: Clash of the Choirs at 8p
