Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia Question courtesy of The Emmys, by Thomas O’Neil: True or False — While George C. Scott turned down his Oscar for Patton in 1971 saying the Oscars was nothing more than a popularity contest, he kept the Emmy he won the same year for a Hallmark Hall of Fame performance in The Price. He said the television award was a far more honest indication of an actor’s work. TRUE Kudos to: Gerry Bixenspan-TV Marketing/NY; Gloria L. Price-CBS News/NY; David Evangelista-CBS Early Show; Deborah Collins/NY; Mary Ryan-Raycom Media/Dallas; Ryan Kinahan-Blair Television; Kathy Yarbrough-The Graham Group/New Orleans; Jeffrey Wank-Rebel Entertainment Partners/LA; Alexandra Leh-La Cheraqui Films/LA; Tom Moore-Kalt Productions/LA; Steven Weisbaum RN-St Johns Health Center/Santa Monica
Today’s Trivia Question in Honor of Emmy Week and courtesy of The Emmys, by Thomas O’Neil: Only 2 actors have won both the Best Actor in a Drama and Best Actor in a Comedy Emmy Award. One of them was Robert Young for Father Knows Best and Marcus Welby, MD. What other actor from the 70’s era accomplished this as well? (click here with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
