09/20/10
Good morning. It’s Monday, September 20, 2010, and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.
In an effort to reach kids and parents with the message of energy conservation, the US Department of Energy and The Advertising Council have launched a new series of public service announcements featuring Disney’s Tinker Bell. Created by Disney, the TV PSAs, as well as outdoor and online PSAs, are designed to encourage kids 8-10 and their families to set up ways they can reduce their electricity usage and feature scenes from the new Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue movie releasing on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD tomorrow. The PSAs direct people to www.energy.gov/kids for tips on further energy saving ideas and information about new technology that can reduce energy consumption at home.
