Degrassi reaches a major milestone, particularly in the tween/teen arena, this month with the 300th episode premiere in the US on TeenNick this Friday, October 26 at 9p. Over the years Degrassi, currently in its 12th seasons, has tackled a wide range of topical and difficult topics including teen pregnancy, gender identity, bipolar disorder, bullying and drug addiction.

LICENSING
Lima Sky, creators of the mobile game Doodle Jump, inks several licensing agency partnerships across Europe and Australasia. For Europe, Beanstalk signs on to introduce a Doodle Jump licensing program in the UK, while Biplano joins to which to represent Lima Sky across Spain, Portugal and France. Covering the rest of Western Europe, Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) will bring Doodle Jump goods to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Furthermore, Lima Sky signs a deal with Haven Licensing taking Doodle Jump to Australia and New Zealand.
Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products unveils details of the world premiere of Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure (www.iceagelive.com). In partnership with Stage Entertainment Touring Productions, the live arena show sets out on a five-year tour – making its worldwide premiere in London at Wembley Arena on November 2, 2012. Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure still has a few preview shows that will be held at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena later this week October 2528.
Summit Entertainment, a Lionsgate company, and Jamba Juice partner for a special drink promotion for the upcoming movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, the final movie in the series that is set for release in theaters Friday, November 16, 2012. Under the deal Jamba Juice introduces the new Twilight-themed Berry Bitten smoothie, a low-fat drink made with whole fruit, which is available now through November 30. For a limited time only, customers who purchase a 24-ounce Berry Bitten smoothie at participating Jamba Juice retail stores will also receive one of four collectible movie-branded slap bracelets featuring characters from The Twilight Saga movies. Also as part of the promotion, Jamba Juice is sponsoring a The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere sweepstakes on Facebook (www.facebook.com/jambajuice, http://www.jambajuice.com/twilightsweepstakesrules), the winner of which will win a trip for two to LA for the world premiere screening of the movie on November 12.

Canada’s YTV kicks off the second season of the game show Splatalot (26×30) on Saturday, November 3 at 6p with the one-hour special YTV’s Celebrity Splatdown where the casts of Life with Boys and Mr. Young go up against one another as they compete for the charities ONEXONE’s First Nations School Breakfast Programs and YMCA of Canada’s food programs, respectively. Hosted again by Matt Chin and Jason Agnew, the new season will also feature other themed specials, such as Teachers vs. Students, Parents vs. Kids and Night Assault. Beginning Saturday, November 10, Splatalot will return to its regular time period at 6:30p. Produced by marblemedia, Splatalot airs in 120+ countries including Teletoon Canada (French), CBBC (UK), ABC3 (Australia) and Nickelodeon (US).
The fourth season of the CG animated series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse will debut with the special Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey and Donald Have A Farm, Monday, November 5 on Disney Channel at 9:30a and Disney Junior at 7p. The new season, which will feature specials focused on Minnie Mouse, will continue to roll out through 2013. The debut special episode of the new season will be simulcast on Watch Disney Junior in conjunction with the TV premiere on Disney Channel on November 5, and will also be available day and date on DisneyJunior.com and Disney Junior on Demand. Furthermore, the episode will also continue to be available via Watch Disney Junior for a week following the TV premiere. On Tuesday, December 11, the special will be available on iTunes and on DVD from The Walt Disney Studios. A second season of the short-form series Minnie’s Bow-Toons is also set to launch next month. New episodes Minnie’s Bow-Toons will premiere daily the week of Monday-Friday, November 12-16, on Disney Channel at 9:55a and Disney Junior at 5:55p. Additionally, in celebration of Minnie’s birthday on Sunday, November 18, Disney Junior will air a marathon of Minnie’s Bow-Toons and Minnie-focused episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all weekend Friday-Sunday, November 16-18. Disney Television Animation produces both TV series.
ABC gets into the Halloween spirit with the annual airing of the animated Peanuts special It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31, at 8p. This year, the network is hosting Trick or Tweet event, where fans will have the chance to take part in a special live chat with Snoopy via Twitter on Halloween night, @Snoopy, #Snoopy and follow @Snoopy. Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release the complete classic TV series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Classic Series Collection, on DVD, all together for the first time, on November 13, 2012. The collection ($99.98) includes all 10 seasons (193 episodes) of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on 23 discs, packaged with an exclusive, collectible TMNT Party Van, and a range of bonus content. The new reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series recently debuted on Nickelodeon.
Oceanhouse Media releases a new book app based on Dr. Seuss’ classic early beginning reader book, Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now! for Apple and Android devices ($2.99). The book app features narrated Read to Me, Read it Myself and Auto play (which automatically readers and turns pages), background audio and enlarged artwork for each scene. Designed to promote reading in younger kids, individual words are highlighted all the way through as the story is read and words zoom up when users touch pictures.
