CONTENT MEDIA

Lady Gaga‘s artRave concert and album release party live-streamed on VEVO yesterday. Gaga performed songs from her newest album ARTPOP, as well as an art exhibit featuring collaborations from Gaga and other major artists such as Jeff Koons. The full artRave performance will be available on-demand on VEVO’s apps, and syndicated on YouTube this week.

Fandango, provider of Weekend Ticket and The Frontrunner (which also happen to be nominees at our Model D Awards tomorrow) has teamed up with Young Hollywood for a new ten-episode video series to count down to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Nov. 22. The series features interviews with cast members and fashion guides inspired by the movie. The first episode is available to watch today on Fandango and Young Hollywood digital and social platforms.

Emotions run high on tonight’s finale of Sundance Channel’sDream School, where celebrity teachers try to change the lives of kids who dropped out or were expelled from school. One of the teachers, hip-hop mogul 50 Cent, talks about his experience on the show on SundanceChannel.com.

YouTube’s Nerdist Channel premiered a new show called Reasons to be Scared of the Future on Friday. The new series from comedian Rhys Darby highlights the reasons that viewers might want to curl up in a fetal position and stay there. A new episode will premiere on the channel every Thursday.

YouTube’s stars made their way to Toronto over the weekend for the first-ever Buffer Festival to honor YT’s best content. Created by one of the site’s stars, Corey Vidal, the celebration featured three days of screenings from YT biggies like The Fine Bros, The Gregory Brothers and PrankVsPrank. The party also included Q&A sessions and signings.

MOBILE GAMING + APPS

Microsoft is following Sony’s PlayStation 4 pre-release app line-up with one of its own, by announcing the 19 apps that will launch with the XboxOne on Nov. 22. The list includes Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Redbox Instant and Target Ticket. Sony’s Crackle, Verizon Fios TV, Machinima and NFL are also on the list. Variety reports some apps will offer rewards to viewers, including the use of a feature called Snap, which lets users simultaneously watch TV and play video games.

RESEARCH

The color blue is the key to the green, according to a recent analysis of eight million Instagram images and the most “likes” by visual analytics and marketing platform Curalate. The study showed that Instagram photos with blue as the dominant color performed 24 percent better than those with red and orange. Bright images performed 24 percent better than dark images in generating likes.
In other words: Smart marketers should go blue and bright.

In reaction to Twitter’s major $24.9 billion IPO opener last week, TIME flipped the scenario to create a number cruncher for users to find out just how much Twitter owes them. A person can put in their Twitter handle, and then click a “do the math” button to figure out their piece of the pie. TIME calculated Barack Obama’s handle, and found out he could make $5,160,650 from the site. Still, that’s nothing compared to pop star Justin Bieber’s $20,916,384 worth on Twitter.
