Good morning. It’s Monday, December 3, 2012, and this is your first early morning briefing.
Just as iCarly wraps its final season, Nickelodeon announces it has officially picked up creator/executive producer Dan Schneider‘s (iCarly, Victorious, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101) newest series live-action comedy Sam & Cat (20×30). A combo spin-off of iCarly and Victorious, Sam & Cat stars Jennette McCurdy (iCarly’s Sam Puckett, Fred: The Movie, Best Player) and Ariana Grande (Victorious’ Cat Valentine, the musical 13, A Snow White Christmas, Winx Club) in which the two reprise their roles from their respective series. Set to premiere on Nickelodeon in 2013, Sam & Cat follows the duo as the unlikely roommates become teen entrepreneurs when they start an after-school babysitting business. Production will begin this January 2013 in LA.
