~ MORE GOOD STUFF ~

The Twitter accounts of CBS60 Minutes and 48 Hours were hacked on Saturday, April 20, resulting in tweets claiming President Barack Obama is “shamelessly in bed with Al-Qaeda.” Both 60 Minutes and 48 Hours issued follow-ups, noting that their accounts had been compromised, while CBS News tweeted that they were experiencing problems with both Twitter accounts. The issue was finally resolved and the hacker’s tweet was removed.

Speaking of tweeting, BBC America and Twitter have inked a deal to offer the first in-Tweet branded video synced to entertainment TV series. Twitter had struck branded content agreements with the Weather Channel and Turner Broadcasting’s March Madness coverage previously. This is the first time a sponsorship will be offered around episodic TV shows.

It looks like America wasn’t Ready for Love. NBC has canceled the dating series, after airing just two episodes. Grimm is moving into its Tuesday 10p time slot, beginning April 30, behind a previously scheduled two-hour episode of The Voice. Grimm will remain in the 10p Tuesday time slot through May 21. Dateline will replace Grimm at 9p on Fridays, beginning April 26. It has not yet been determined when or where remaining episodes of Ready for Love will be aired.

Fans of The Vampire Diaries will want to set their DVRs for Thursday, April 25 at 8p. The CW is airing an episode titled The Originals, a backdoor pilot spinoff of the series. It centers on Klaus as he returns to his roots in the French Quarter of New Orleans and is reunited with his protege Marcel.

E!‘s Pop & Politics will livestream the White House Correspondents dinner red carpet at the Washington Hilton in Washington D.C. for the very first time on Saturday, April 27. The livestream begins at 6p on www.eonline.com, with E!’s Alicia Quarles and Marc Malkin delivering all the insider information. The highlights of the event will air on E! News on Monday, April 29 at 7p.

The Academy of Television Arts & SciencesBoard of Governors has reversed a decision made in March 2012 to consolidate the outstanding lead and supporting actor and actress categories for miniseries and movies. The total number of long-form acting categories was slated to be reduced from four to two. Instead, there will be separate categories for lead and supporting actors and actresses in a miniseries or movie in 2013, as there was in 2012. The move was made because of the unanticipated resurgence of long form television production. The entry deadline for the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards is Friday, May 3. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 22 on CBS.

Saturday Night Live‘s Bill Hader returns to Turner Classic Movies for a third time this summer to host TCM Essentials Jr. Hader will present 13 films appropriate for parents to introduce to their kids, beginning Sunday, June 2, at 8 p with The Court Jester, the 1956 musical-comedy starring Danny Kaye. Wonder if Stefon will make a cameo appearance?

Music legend Stevie Wonder performs live on ABC‘s Dancing with the Stars on Monday, April 22 at 8p, as the remaining couples dance to his music. It marks the first time the show devotes an entire evening to one artist. Wonder will perform some of his classic songs, including Sir Duke and My Cherie Amour. Country music’s Hunter Hayes will also take the stage with Wonder for an opening performance. On Tuesday, April 23 at 9p, Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show – will feature music by seven-time Grammy Award winner will.i.am, performing his current single #thatpower, and international star Olly Murs,  performing his hit, Troublemaker.

MTV‘s Buckwild, the reality series canceled after its star Shain Gandee‘s death, will not be moving to another network. MTV, which controls rights to the show, has refused to let producers shop it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV had been negotiating with producer J.P. Williams about the possibility of letting producers to take the series elsewhere, but a source said talks broke down.
