Cynopsis: Kids!
03/16/12

Good morning. It’s Friday, March 16, 2012, and this your first early morning briefing.

The Home Alone franchise grows with from ABC Family and Fox TV Studios that production has begun on the fifth Home Alone movie, which will premiere as part of the networks annual 25 Days of Christmas on-air programming event. Home Alone 5: Alone in the Dark stars Malcolm McDowell, Debi Mazar, Edward Asner, Eddie Steeples, and young Christian Martyn. The TV movie revolves around eight-year-old Finn (Martyn) who is a little freaked out when he finds out his family is moving from California to Maine, and to a really scary looking house. Finn is convinced that the new house is haunted, so he sets up some elaborate traps to catch the ghost in action. When Finn is left home alone with his sister, while their parents are stuck across town, his traps wind up catching a group of thieves (McDowell, Mazar, Steeples). Produced by Fox Television Studios, the movie is directed by Peter Hewitt (Garfield), and written by Aaron Ginsburg and Wade McIntyre (The Finder).
