Marathon Media has begun delivery of the first episodes of Famous 5 (26×26), a new adaptation of Enid Blyton’s kid’s book series of the same name.  The series is a Marathon Media, Chorion (UK), Disney Europe and France 3 co-production.  Slated to bow this year, Famous 5 has been acquired by Super RTL (German), RTBF (Belgium), Disney Asia and Australia, Jetix (Netherlands), Disney in France, Europe, Africa and Middle East, and LNK (Lithuania).

Sci Fi Channel and Virgin Comics will release the first issue of The Stranded, the first comic book series under their join venture SCIFI/Virgin Comics imprint, on January 23.  Created and written by Mike Carey, The Stranded series is told through the eyes of five regular people with extraordinary abilities, who may be responsible for the doom or salvation of the entire universe.  This is not for younger kids.
