American adult film stars become British thespians in the new Fox Reality show, My Bare Ladies. Co-produced by the U.S. and U.K. with Zig Zag Productions, this new three-episode, one-hour series, follows top U.S. adult film stars who are transformed into legitimate actors for the London stage. The series is scheduled to air later this year.

Beginning June 26 (check local listings), PBS will air the five-part series How Art Made the World. Co-produced by KCET and the BBC, the series is hosted by acclaimed art historian and University of Cambridge lecturer Dr. Nigel Spivey who will explain to viewers, using non-technical language and state-of-the-art computer graphics, the impact of art on mankind.

All of this should work out fine, but if any trouble persists, your IT folks can call me anytime. Thanks!

* PRODUCTION / CASTING / DEVELOPMENT *Fox has ordered up two new series, both of which have received 13-episode commitments for the fall:

  • Vanished, produced by 20th Century Fox and created by Josh Berman, is a political thriller about the kidnapping or disappearance of a Senator’s wife.
  • Til Death is from Sony Pictures Television and stars Joely Fisher and Brad Garrett in a comedy about two couples — one newlywed, the other long-timers.

MTV
has greenlit a new reality series, twentyfoursevens, slated to premiere in 4th qtr 2006 with eight episodes. Set in Los Angeles, the show will follow seven friends who all want to make it in some facet of the entertainment business.

USA Network’s new original series Psych has begun production in Vancouver and will debut with a 90-minute episode on July 7 at 10p. Starring James Roday, Dule Hill and Corbin Bernsen, Psych is a one-hour drama about a young police consultant who solves crimes with intense powers of observation, so hyper-sensitive the precinct detectives think he’s psychic.

MyNetworkTV has signed three to star in three of its new dramas currently in development.

  • Maria Conchita Alonso will star in A Dangerous Love, the story about love and rivalry between two families, the Oliveras and Mazzonis;
  • Former Miss Universe, Dayanara Torres will star in Watch Over Me, which chronicles a classic love triangle between finances and the man hired to protect them; and
  • Sean Young will lead the cast of Art of Betrayal, about a woman scorned by her husband who leaves her to marry a rich woman. Each drama will be stripped Monday through Friday with 65 episodes over 13 weeks.

All three actresses make their first public appearance at the Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles tonight. MyNetworkTV premieres with its primetime line-up on September 5.

Peter King has been signed to join NBC’s Football Night in America studio show as a reporter.  Bob Costas and Cris Collinsworth co-host the show together wtih analyst Jerome Bettis.

Randy Jackson has reupped with American Idol for three more seasons.  That means all three judges and host Seacrest will be on board for the foreseeable future.

Pet Casting Call:  Do you have a problem pooch? If you have a dog that is aggressive, scared, lazy, compulsive or jealous the National Geographic Channel’s Dog Whisperer may have a solution for you. The series is currently looking for canines in crisis for the show in several cities – New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, Omaha, Chicago and Cleveland – for filming later this year. There are extensive directions and tips on how to submit a video of your dog and its problem for consideration. Go to www.ngcdogwhisperer.com and click on the “Submit Your Idea” link for all the information. Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan airs Friday nights at 8p.
