Echostar is considering a chapter 11 bankruptcy filing as it faces FCC review of its spectrum licenses, reports The Wall Street Journal. Recent missed debt-interest payments could push Echostar, owner of Dish Network, into default before July. “We will not comment on rumors or speculation,” an EchoStar spokesperson told the WSJ. “EchoStar remains focused on delivering ubiquitous connectivity to our customers across the globe and bringing consumers a competitive alternative to incumbent wireless providers.” |
Fox has canceled two dramas: “The Cleaning Lady” after four seasons and “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” after three. The shows underperformed in the ratings, scoring 1.68 million viewers and 2.16 million, respectively, in Live+7 linear numbers.
“Étoile” is ending after one season at Prime Video, despite having received a two-season order. All eight episodes of the ballet drama from Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) dropped in April.
CTV publisher Future Today has partnered with ID5 to make over 1.5 billion monthly CTV ad impressions addressable, without relying on cookies or persistent logins. The move sets up the newly launched “Future Today Marketplace” with enhanced targeting and measurement, supporting brands seeking scalable, low-overlap audiences beyond linear. |

Disney Branded Television unveiled new and returning animated kids’ content, including the new Disney Jr. series “Sam Witch,” created by Mia Resella and produced by Brown Bag Films, for Disney+ and Disney Jr.; holiday special “Dasher” from Trustbridge Entertainment and 9 Story Media Group, for Disney+ and Disney Jr.; and the acquisition of “Miraculous Stellar Force” from Miraculous Corp, the first original spin-off for the franchise, for Disney+ and Disney Channel. Also announced were the renewal of streaming preschool series “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends” (season six), “k” (season four), “Disney Jr. Ariel – The Little Mermaid” (season two), and “RoboGobo” (season two). |
“The Bold and the Beautiful” is making a big move. The CBS sudser is relocating from Television City, its home since its launch in 1987, to Sunset Las Palmas Studios. “It’s been an extraordinary 38 years at Television City, where we have produced over 9,600 episodes,” said head writer and executive producer Bradley Phillip Bell. “As we look ahead, we’re excited to begin this next chapter at Sunset Las Palmas Studios — continuing our production in the heart of Hollywood and the great state of California.” Shows have been relocating since CBS Corp. sold Television City to Hackman Capital Partners in 2019, as the new owner plans for a major renovation. |

Two-part documentary “Breaking 4: Faith Kipyegon vs. The 4-Minute Mile,” following Olympic gold medalist Faith Kipyegon’s quest to become the first woman to run a mile in under four minutes. debuts on Prime Video on Friday, June 20.
“The Hunting Wives,” adapted from the May Cobb novel, will premiere Monday, July 21 on Netflix. The thriller drama was originally set at Starz, but Lionsgate Television landed the series rights as part of the separation agreement between Lionsgate and Starz. |

Season nine of Bravo’s “Summer House” is pacing to be its most-watched yet, averaging 2.2 million viewers across platforms through 35 days of viewing. The season premiered in February.
Bravo’s got another good story to tell with season two of “The Valley,” which premiered to 3.1 million cross-platform viewers in 35 days. That makes it the most-watched second season debut for a Bravo series since “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” in 2010.
The return of Food Network’s “BBQ Brawl” delivered a 0.56 P25-54 / 0.60 M25-54 Live+3 rating (up +17 % and +43% vs. last summer respectively) marking the series’ best opener since 2022.
FOX News Media closed out May 2025 as the top news brand in the competitive set on YouTube, notching 362 million video views. Additionally, the newly launched FOX News Clips platform drew close to 30 million views in May in its first month on YouTube. |
